L'Expérience
We are a young couple at heart, who, for over the past 15 years have run the hostel, and recently opened a second unit. Now we have over 100 travelers staying with us every night and are incredibly proud of the community we have developed between our bar and the 2 hostels. Our hostel family grows bigger each year, which is why we would love to welcome energetic travelers to our hostel to create new stories and adventures. =)

I had a really good time during my stay. The working hours were very doable, and the tasks were clear and easy to manage. I also met many nice people, which made the experience very enjoyable. The village is beautiful, and the nature and mountains nearby are great for relaxing or going for walks. There is a cosy bar where everyone comes together, which makes it easy to socialise and feel part of the place. Denis and Špela were very kind and welcoming hosts! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this experience to others :)

I seriously could not recommend this place enough to volunteer, the work is easy and more than manageable, leaving you with heaps of time to explore during the day, especially during the off season. The owners Spela and Denis, as well as the whole staff create a homey and fun environment for not only the volunteers but the guests as well. Everyone on the staff are so kind and welcoming and they treat you as one of their own. As well as the place being super social with the bar downstairs allowing you to meet and make heaps of friends. And of course bled is just stunning to explore and stay!!

I had an amazing time at the hostel! Denis and Špela are the most amazing, genuine and funny hosts, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of their hostel for the past 2 weeks. The staff are also fantastic! Always friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. Since it was the off season, we only worked about an hour in the morning and then closed the kitchens at 10pm. The work was easy and left plenty of time to explore Bled and enjoy its beautiful scenery. The hostel has such a warm and social atmosphere, making it easy to meet new people! I've made so many great memories, I'll miss the hostel 🤍

Omg, I loved it! Špela & Dennis are absolute icons, they're hilarious and really care about the hostel & guests which is just so lovely to see. The whole staff team were super funny & so welcoming, I'll miss them so much. Such a good place to meet people, has a really good vibe to it & the pub is brilliant. The work was really easy just a few hours in the morning changing beds & cleaning and then a bit of cleaning in the evening & a little reception work, I had loads of time off. I had the best time, couldn't recommend it more!!!! 🕺🕺🕺

Dennis and Spela are kind, hardworking and generous hosts. The local staff are friendly and helpful! However, I wouldn't advise coming here if you are going to be the only volunteer. I was there towards the off-season but I think this experience would have been enhanced with a bigger group of volunteers to explore together. Also note that the hosts also expect you to be around the hostel quite a lot to check on things. I also wouldn't recommend it if you like an early night because you will need to work at 10pm every night briefly. Overall, a solid workaway and a great team to join!
