The eco village was a really cute small town. It was a bit hard to actually get to the town me and another volunteer were arriving together so we had to call a taxi from where the bus dropped us off. Just like most of the other reviews, Francesco takes a little bit of warming up before he's cracking jokes and stuff with you so just wait a few days. The work can definitely be hard some days when you're moving furniture up and down for three hours but you get the rest of the day to yourself. All in all it was a really rewarding experience. Would definitely recommend.

The eco village is a beautiful place and I was lucky enough to be there during festa della bandiera which was amazing. Personally I had a bit of an odd experience especially at the start. I wasn't all to welcomed, I arrived late on day one but it was due to my bus braking down, I could have communicated this better but once I had arrived he had no interest in hearing me out even though I had proof of the brake down. That evening the messages he sends me were “I don't think this is the right place for you” and “one mistake and you're out” He eventually did warm up to me but it took quite some time.

As I had sensed from the first moment, my house was not the right place for Xavier. I would have done better to listen to my intuition and not accept him in my house. The jobs I assigned him were done badly trying to waste as much time as possible

My feelings are mixed, stayed for 10 days, up until the 9th I enjoyed it. The town is lovely, the work was ok, and Francesco was nice at first. On the 9th day, out of nowhere, he told me he was leaving me a bad review. I was confused, he didn't seem upset with me before this. Work with him was uncomfortable after. I asked if he would explain what happened, he responded aggressively about dissatisfaction with work, he was then rude and demeaning, so I left after completing my hours. Supportive feedback earlier would've been nice, instead of irrational psychological games. Q's welcomed.

This person got the answers she needed but simply ignored them like a lying sixteen year old teenager

Francesco is a great guy, from day one he offered me help and was always there for whatever I asked him. Working in the olive groves was a great experience, as was working in the village cleaning and discovering the charm of the eco village. If you have any doubts, come, even though it is a small town but the people are super friendly and it has very good mountains for trekking.

My first experience as a volunteer. At first I was a little nervous because I didn't have the exact address information. I sent a message to the other volunteers asking them to help me. Francesco is a peculiar person, you have to know how to deal with his personality. I understood him and we had a peaceful coexistence. I have a fondness for him. I was there during the olive harvest period. It's not a difficult job. We spent the day in the fields. the eco village is very small and interesting. I recommend the experience to anyone who wants peace and quiet and to explore a new and different place.

I had a great experience the eco village! Everything, from the work to the accomodation, was as agreed. I really liked the house that we lived in, it feels like a special place because of the antique furniture and amazing view. It's quiet and peaceful and if that's what you're looking for, it's perfect! I did a little hike to Castrovillari, the next town, which was really beautiful and went to the beach with the other volunteers. the eco village itself is an interesting place, especially the locals who are really friendly people. All in all, I would definitely recommend going there! Thank you, Francesco!

The eco village is an amazing place and very calm, perfect to meet locals and other international travellers! The place is very cozy and big, perfect for living there! The hours of work are as agreed; sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes in the morning but never too early or to late! It can be hard sometimes but very rewarding! We get to see olive plantations and try different fruits and Fransesco drove us to the beach and other places in Calabria! I recommend very much this experience and I loved my stay there!

We really liked this experience with Francesco! We did a lot of different work around the house and at the olives grove while living in the beautiful the eco village! We met locals and Francesco made us try grapes, figs, lemons and many other things that they harvest there. The house where we lived was lovely and we had everything we needed! I would recommend this experience :)
