Absolutely amazing time working at the hostel! Made lifelong friends with other volunteers and guests at the hostel :) The main aspect of the work here is engaging with guests and encouraging them to join hostel events. Perfect for anyone who is the hostel and wants to meet a tonne of new people! Everyone at the hostel is wonderful and I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to join a hostel family and have fun :)

This was my first volunteering experience and it truly exceeded my expectations. I extended my stay after just a couple of days. I really liked the job itself, the tasks at the reception were easy but enjoyable. You get a bed in a shared dorm with the other volunteers in a staff house, which had all the facilities you need. Everyone's friendly and I'll definitely come back if I get the chance. Thanks for an amazing stay 💜

I'm so grateful for the 2 months spent volunteering at the hostel. The team truly feels like a family, and I felt at home from the very beginning. It's a fun place to volunteer, definitely recommend it 💪🏻

It's been 3weeks in the hostel working in Reception and bar the concept is not just for you to work and help but to learn something how hostel works as a traveller this kind of experience is so damn good share and getting ideas from this people is something 💡winner experience its not just travel but to learn and experience things we never tried before and we can used in the future one day maybe like a boss InshaAllah hahaha. I absolutely loved my time at the hostel in Penang. The facilities are great, the job is as described and the team is lovely. Met some great people there and I will be back there in a few weeks to volunteer again! 100% recommend this place.

This is a great place to meet international travelers! The hostel hosts a nightly pub crawl where everyone goes out to local bars and meets other travelers from different hostels or locals in the area! The hostel team is amazing, and I have met very high-quality people here. The work is okay; there is minimal training and weak communication when things are expected to be done perfectly, making it stressful. One of the owners can be temperamental, and eggshells are definitely walked on when he is around. Cameras are also constantly monitored, which I felt was very invasive.

I had a great experience at the hostel, there are many volunteers and they are all really nice! keep i mind there's a lot of work to do, so it's the right place if you want to save and meet new people!

Overall this is a solid experience. The staff house is the best volunteer accommodation Iv ever stayed in and is in a separate house from the hostel with a living room/kitchen. There is a strong volunteer culture and it's easy to feel included right away if you drink and go out. The owners/managers were very accommodating for my date change and willing to have conversations about my particular skill set and where I would fit best and I really appreciated that. One comment that prevents me from giving this place 5⭐️ is the lack of clear communication about overtime and attitude toward mistakes
