My experience at the hostel was perfect. I met a lot of people that made my stay unforgettable. Its a place where we feel like home ! The only thing that could be improved is the fact that there is no staff member. Only volunteers « run » the hostel… Would recommend definitely !!

My experience at the hostel Dormitory was amazing. Abu and the volunteers were super nice! Even with my basic English, after the first few days, I understood well how check-ins worked, and we did a great job on social media, which is easy because the hostel was really good and spacious, perfect for digital nomads! I improved my English a lot and connected with the locals and the amazing life in Langkawi, which I already miss. Thanks to everyone for everything!

This was my first volunteering experience and was an amazing learning & thought provoking experience. Abu and Ammar were very helpful & patient with me and really made me feel very comfortable throughout my stay. I got a chance to meet other fellow volunteers and travellers and got hands on experience on the business aspect of the hostel which was very interesting. The tasks are well defined and its just 4hrs a day and after that you have your free time to explore the island. But I believe the kind of experience one wants totally depends on the person and what you want to take away from it.

The hostel is super cozy and comfortable. We even had some movie nights with the guests. The work is well organized and clearly divided between the volunteers. It takes a little to get used to the booking system but there is a written guide and you can always ask the team. It's more learning by doing so don't feel discouraged when your mistakes get pointed out. The island itself is very nice. A highlight were the fire shows at the beach. We also did a mangrove planting program which was super cool! The hostel is located very centrally and across the street from a night food market.

Abu and Syed are kind and welcoming, Ammar is very helpful thank you so much for everything, I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and everyone is friendly, tasks are easy once you learn and practice and memorize everything, the schedule is reasonable and different everyday, hostel is very cozy and feels like home, facilities are great, location is great its a 2 minutes walk to the beach, overall its a great experience thank you for having me and I will be back.

It was a great experience! I definitely had a good time volunteering at the hostel and would recommend it to anyone. There's plenty of time to explore the island or just chill at the beach. Hostel itself is very cozy and tasks we had weren't too complicated especially once you get familiar with them and the system. Overall it was a good experience! Thank you for having me

I really had a great time volunteering here! Thank you Abu and Syed to welcome me as a part of the team and special thanks to Ammar for your guidance and patience whenever I needed help. Work tasks are not difficult and only 4 hours a day, so whichever the shift you are in, you have plenty of time to explore the island, just relax at the beach or even go on a tour. This is not a party hostel and guests are generally humble and quiet which I liked. I met a lot of cool people from all around the world both guests and other volunteers! I will definitely be back!

MY experience at the hostel was pleasant. However the volunteers' dorm was not how I expected it, the beds were creaky, no windows and we had to use the public bathroom, but you get used to it pretty quickly and the common area in the hostel is comfortable. To explore the island make sure to rent a scooter as this is the cheapest way and prepare yourself for jam and toast noodles and chips, as this is all you find in the supermarkets. Syed is super nice, he would invite us to dinner and he agreed to go camping with us ( however we decided to not go anymore ). The work in the hostel is easy

The manager was understanding and helpful when it came to moving shifts around. The other volunteers were super welcoming and patient when it came to explaining the tasks as it is up to them to train the newcomers. There are videos on how to do each step if you forget anything and the work itself is pretty straightforward.It can get pretty boring so be prepared to watch netflix. The beach is a 2 minute walk away, but rent a scooter to see the rest of the island. The beds squeak alot and the jam and toast get quite monotonous. The surrounding shops don't have much variety and are often expired.
