I met several people, got to know a little more about the city (Duisburg). In the rush as I needed to catch a late flight, I couldn't say goodbye to everyone and thank them, but it was a very nice experience. I met Bedia, who from day one made sure I was feeling good, and whatever I needed. Kai also always very helpful. The priest too, Sandra, sister and so many other people. Thank you very much, I hope to be able to come back and visit in another opportunity!

The organization was my first volunteering experience with worldpackers. It could not have been better. I felt very welcomed by the community. The work is not heavy, and the staff and other volunteers are very friendly and helpful. If given the opportunity, I would definitely volunteer again in the organization community. They welcomed us very well, provided us with food, tours, parties and the opportunity to work with refugees and the homeless, which allowed us to have a more humanitarian and social vision, in addition to a lot of diversity. Grade 10!

This was my first experience out of my contry, and everything was absolutely perfect! I have nothing to complain about. Everyone we met was so warm, cheerful, helpy, absolutely good heated people... I was hoping this could be a good experience, but they definetly overcome my expectations. The crew was very communicative, even though those who didn't speak English tried to talk to us someway somehow, and the translator definetly helped us a lot in this trip. I'm so grateful for all this month we spent together, and I hope being able to meet everyone once again !

I totally recommend this experience to everyone. Time flew by so fast! I ended up staying one week more than expected because the organization is a wonderful place. Everyone tried their best to make me feel welcome and comfortable and I truly appreciate that. the organization is like a family and I felt part of it all the time thanks to the amazing team that works there. Oliver is a wonderful host who was always taking care of me and I'm going to miss our conversations and parties :)

It's a beautiful project, but unfortunately I didn't feel safe as a woman and I don't recommend it. I suffered harassment there, but even though the employer was fired, other strange situations happened and when I went to let him know, the Host said that I was looking for trouble there. I really hope these situations can teach him to empathize more with women and not just the homeless or refugees. It is important to listen, talk, welcome people regardless of the situation that is happening. He needs to improve communication alignment, expectations and how to handle extreme situations.

A experiência neste voluntariado foi excelente. As instalações para voluntários são super cômodas, os horários de trabalho são respeitados e a equipe é muito respeitosa. Yannik se mostra aberto para ouvir e auxiliar se necessário, Kay sempre bem humorado e disposto a ajudar, e Mary é realmente um amor, muito paciente com os voluntários, especialmente com o fato de que a maioria não fala alemão, e ela apesar de só falar alemão, se faz entender, e tudo sai bem ao final. Indico este voluntariado sim, e espero poder voltar um dia. :)

Quiero agradecerles de corazón por la increíble experiencia que viví en mi voluntariado a Yannik y Kai, gracias por su amabilidad y por hacerme sentir bienvenida. Aprendí mucho y disfruté cada momento en la cocina. Marie, ha sido un verdadero placer trabajar a tu lado. Tu pasión por la cocina es inspiradora, y me encantó aprender de ti. Eres un encanto y una gran maestra. Además, alimentar a los animales fue una de mis actividades favoritas. Conectarme con ellos y ser parte del cuidado diario me hizo muy feliz. Me llevo recuerdos maravillosos y mucho aprendizaje.

A experiência em a organização foi realmente incrível. Tudo muito organizado e bem explicado. O trabalho é muito tranquilo e você tem muito tempo livre para aproveitar da maneira que quiser. A Mary, cozinheira, é uma querida. E, ainda que fale apenas alemão, ela é paciente para te explicar as coisas. O Yannik e o Cai também me receberam super bem e me auxiliaram em tudo. O casa é bem grande e a cozinha e o quarto privado são bem equipados. Também pude conhecer outros viajantes voluntários que foram muito amigáveis e foi muito divertido. Só agradecer por esse tempo em a organização.

Es un excelente voluntariado. Te da la oportunidad de compartir e integrarte a tu ritmo. Mi corazón se queda con Marie que es una mujer extraordinaria y dulce. Yannik y Kai, te dan gran libertad y cumplen a cabalidad con lo acordado. Es una comunidad con mucho amor y familiaridad cuando te das la oportunidad de hablar con las personas. Foi uma experiência incrível! É um lugar respeita a todos independente de gênero, nacionalidade ou classe social. Tudo foi muito bem explicado antes da viagem. O trabalho é muito fácil, flexível e prazeroso. Desde o primeiro dia que cheguei senti-me parte do grupo e também que as pessoas faziam questão de me ver bem e me incluir. É uma boa oportunidade para quem quer fazer um trabalho social com grande impacto na comunidade e também ter um tempo para viajar, já que o horário de trabalho é muito flexível. Yannik e Kay são muito atenciosos. Marry (cozinheira) é um amor. Vou sentir saudades!
