Working at the hostel was beyond all my expectations! I arrived sooner to start living with other people and I finished this experience surrounded by amazing souls. I am grateful for all the people I met and for all the shared stories! Working at the hostel won't bring you a task to do but friends to hang out with and lovely people to share memories with.

The experience was incredible. The tasks were not difficult, everything was very well organized, and I was welcomed with open arms from the very first day. It is located very close to the city center, which makes it perfect for exploring and getting around by public transport. The place is very lively and you will never get bored inside the hostel; there is always something to do. Highly recommended for experiencing Scottish culture up close and learning about its history. The only bad, truly negative and terrible thing is that you won't want to leave when your stay comes to an end. I miss you

I love this place! Truly a home away from home. Every volunteer/staff that I met was a genuinely wonderful human being inside and out! I had so much fun here, the work was fair and as agreed upon, and the community feel was amazing. This hostel is so cozy and welcoming, I could not recommend it more! This was my first volunteer experience at a hostel and it will change the way I travel for the foreseeable future. Again, I love this place and all the people in it!!

That was a good experience! Caithlin was very kind and welcoming host. The work was very well-scheduled, and so I had plenty of time to explore the city. the hostel is located almost at the doorsteps of Haymarket train station which was very convenient. I took a bus only once :) I worked in the cleaning team — we would begin at 9 and sometimes we'd be finished by 12. I really enjoyed starting off early as it gave me a whole afternoon for whatever I wanted to do! Sometimes we had late-night shifts, but mostly we would work in the mornings or the afternoons, sometimes both.
