The Experience
We're looking for vibrant, fun travellers to help keep our hostel clean, work on reception, run awesome pub crawls and events and hang out with our guests. We are the original Backpackers hostel in Edinburgh, run by travellers for travellers. Come join the team, hang out in our two large common areas, use our kitchen and laundry, but most importantly - keep the guests smiling! We run events all throughout the week, join our welcoming team!

- Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

HSH is the best hostel in the world, I wish I could stay more because there was like home. Volunteers and staff there are amazing people and they always take care of you, always having some plans to do like games, pool tournaments, etc. Also in this hostel you can always talk to people so you can learn better your English and another languages because always there is a lot of people of different places. I love that this place feels like home so I miss them so much ♥️

AMAZING!!! Met the best people, great hostel, good location and beautiful city, easy work and so many things to discover in Edinburgh!! Would definitely recommend this hostel to everyone who wants to have a fun time and meet amazing people.

The HSH was one of my favorite volunteers. That was my first time in Edinburg and Scotland, and I couldn't choose a better place. The work is light and I had time to enjoy the city. I just want to say a grat thank you for all.

The hostel was my first Worldpackers experience and I loved it!!!! I want to come back. The place is cozy, the people are amazing and you don't have to work thaaaaaaat much :) it's pretty fast done and you have a lot of time to spend in Edinburgh. Would always recommend that amazing place!

The Hostel now is like home to me, one of the best experience I could ever have. Everyone in the Hostel is amazing and so friendly: the other volunteers and the management became a family very fast and are always there to help you and make this place so special. the work hours are just 2 a day so is not that hard and the rest of the time is always well spent in the city or in the hostel lounge!
