Kayla and Brian were exceptional hosts. Made me feel beyond welcome. Part of the family. I loved the work and was a perfect way to be welcomed into the culture. Outstanding in every way possible. Will come again and do recommend.

I had a very good time at the project. This was my first time in Korea and travelling with worldpackers, and this has exceeded all my expectations. Kayla and Brian are super friendly, the work hours are very good, and i have made many new friends. I would highly recommend everyone to come! I hope I can see them again.

I came to work on my social skills and left with memories and friends. I would definitely do it again. The work is relatively easy, everyone is kind and it starts to feel like home after a while. I miss it

Kayla is a very nice person and the project is a great place. It's so easy to make local Koreans friends there. Cheongju is a quiet city, full of nice coffee shops. It's quite close to Seoul and Suwon. Work hours are respected. Food is provided (eggs, milk, noodles, rice, cereals, yoghurt...). You can stay on budget if you want to. Appartement is nice and very close to the academy. I enjoyed my stay there. Other teachers were super nice.

I had an outstanding first experience volunteering at the project. My conversations with Korean students were amazing. Although I had been traveling through Asia for a couple of months, no prior experience allowed me to connect so deeply with the everyday life, aspirations, and culture of the country I was visiting quite like this one. I'm incredibly grateful for my time at the project! When I return to South Korea, Cheongju will definitely be one of my stops to reconnect with the people I met and bring gifts from Brazil!

Volunteering at the project was amazing! The volunteering is just talking English to locals, so you can engage in meaningfull conversations and get to learn a lot about Korean culture. The people you talk to range from very young student to retired people. The location is a bit remote, but you can easily take a bus or train to either Busan or Seoul. I would definetly recommend anyone that is coming to visit both cities. In Cheongju the apartment is very close to the workplace, like a 5 minute walk. I lived together with some amazing other volunteers and the apartment was always clean and tidy.

The project is a fun and engaging concept for locals to learn or practice their English by conversing with fluent English speakers in a relaxed cafe setting allowing the students to talk about whatever they want to advance their speaking skills. I've really enjoyed my time here getting to know my students and I've made some lovely friends out of this experience. Kija should be proud of what she's created and she really is the best for what she provides for us; accommodation with AC, WiFi, free food essentials (ramen, rice, bread, milk, cheese, etc.) and free laundry. Thank you for everything <3

I had a great time at the project! Kayla and Brian are truly amazing hosts and made me feel welcomed from the beginning. They were always open to talk to and arrange schedules which I truly appreciated. The work is not too demanding and leaves you with more than enough time for yourself. Cheongju itself doesn't have a lot to offer, but it's a great location for trips to Seoul, Busan, Jeju.. If you love talking to locals I truly recommend this Workaway!

The project is the perfect place to immerse yourself in South Korean culture. I met so many interesting people there, and I spent time with them even in my free time. The apartment is comfortable, and Kayla is always there to help you. Highly recommended!

My experience volunteering at the project was excellent! :) Kayla and Brian were very welcoming, polite and helpful, as well as keeping everything very clear and organized for our work. The volunteers' apartment is very good, it's close to the studio and many other facilities in the neighborhood. The food provided is also above average compared to other places in Korea. The work is very smooth, the students are kind and you can learn and have a lot of fun with them, as well as making friends to hang out! Thank you so much, guys! <3
