Kayla and Brian are very lovely and welcoming. The working hours are well respected and reasonable. If there was ever an issue, I would have felt very comfortable expressing it to them. The apartment is nice and the food is plenty. Cheongju itself does not have many famous activities, but there is still a lot to do if you look for it. They have lovely cafes and I had very enjoyable conversations at the project. If you choose to come here, you will be in good hands :))

As a 19 year old, it was my first time travelling to a different country alone; but because of Kayla and Brian and the other volunteers I never felt nervous or anxious. Everyone was so welcoming and kind which made me feel very at ease and coupled with the pleasant accommodation I felt very at home. The work at the project is very easy and fun. I also made many great Korean friends from the project with whom I made countless amazing memories! I cannot recommend the project enough to anyone interested in Korean volunteer opportunities! I hope to return soon :)

Kayla y Brian are really nice people, and their daugthers are adorable! The appartment was more that enough for the number of volunteers. I recomend Cheongju for it's location in the center of Korea. While there are no free tours provided, Kayla and Brian can give you advice on what to visit. Basic foods such as rice, milk, bread, etc is provided, which reduces de costs of cooking at home! And I'm sure that if you are studying Korean and have some questions, they may not give you a proper lesson, but they will help you for sure. Oh and a good thing is that the weekends are always off!

The project was a great place to connect with locals. I met so many people from different walks of life. It was a great experience that I hope to repeat in the near future. It was a truly inspiring experience to make real contributions to peoples short/long terms goals by helping them reach it. My experience at the project wouldn't have been as wonderful as it was if it weren't for Kayla. It was easy to communicate with her and she always tried her best to accommodate all the volunteers at work, while at the same time supporting the quality of our life in our apartment.

I remember Maria did an amazing job at Minglish. She always tried her best to mingle locals and brought lots of good energy to Minglish. She's very fun, full of energy.
There are various kinds of koreans coming at Minglish to improve their English through talking to each other. Sometimes, it could be so hard to talk with someone who has nothing in common, but she always figured something out to continue the conversation through all ages.
She's never been late for work and always asked something she could do for Minglish.
I definitely can say that she was one of the best volunteers so far. I highly recommend Maria to any hosts.

I had the most incredible time at the project! Kayla and Brian are truly the most incredible and nice people who is so welcoming and truly makes you feel at home in Korea! At the cafe you get to meet so many lovely locals and help them practice their English, so if you want to make local friends this is definitely the place to come! The working hours are not that many around 3-4 a day so you'll have a lot of time to explore. I'm definitely going to miss the people of this place so much and would absolutely recommend everyone to go here you'll surely have an unforgettable experience!

I'm super grateful to Kayla and Brian for letting me be part of this experience! the project is the best place to get a full immersive Korean culture experience, every member is unique, so the conversations are super varied. Regarding the facilities, we were always provided with enough food, the apartment is super comfortable, and the location is convenient for easily moving to cities like Seoul or Busan. The work schedule is super easy going so you'll have plenty of time to sight-see the city or other activities. You'll definitely not regret coming to the project! Thanks Kayla, for everything! ^^

Please come to the project! The host Kayla and her husband Brian were so helpful and welcoming. They answered any questions I had, accommodate all my needs, and were just such caring and generous people. This was my first experience volunteering and it couldn't have been a better one. I was able to meet so many new friends from all over the world and I got to connect with the locals as well, which was great! I had plenty of time after class to explore around Korea. Kayla would even give us recommendations of fun places to explore on our free time. I didn't want to leave. Come you won't regret it

Come to the project!! Kayla and Brian are so so kind and funny, they made us feel like we were part of a family which is so special when we were so far from ours🤍 Coming here gave us such a good chance to learn about Korea and cheongju from the locals. We met such lovely people and being able to help them with their English is very rewarding. Communication with Kayla was always very good, she made sure we had everything we needed and gave us so many recommendations. I would recommend this cafe to anyone, we hope to come back again:)
