Jorge was a great host always friendly and upbeat, the work was tough but rewarding and varied. Overall I loved the stay the long weekends are great to do short trips to other parts of Oaxaca. The team side of the volunteering is also great with group meals and events for everyone. The days of community work are enjoyable and help give back to the local community. I would 100% recommend this project, Jorge is trying to do some great work and it was nice to be involved in it!

Great experience ! Jorge was a great host , respectful and always helpful. The project itself is a great idea and is an opportunity for anyone to learn lots of things about both the organization and mexican culture. The house is nothing luxurious but once you get used to it it feels like home . We both really enjoyed every day we have spent there and we definitely recommend for future volunteers.

The organization was a unique experience. We learned and helped with the process of making artisanal the organization as well as being part of the true Mexican culture and discover the hidden spots of Miahuatlán. Jorge was a great host, always helpful and ready to answer any question you need. I ll suggest this experience to any volunteer visiting the Oaxaca state.

I don't even know where to start from to describe how special this experience felt. I had a good feeling about volunteering at the organization but this exceeded my expectations in terms of authenticity, fun and hospitality. Prepare to work hard and not mess about but be assured the Jorge truly cares about you having a great experience and will go out of his ways to make you feel welcomed, looked after and to keep things fun. You're likely going to be the only foreigners in town, with the other volunteers, so if you're looking for a real Mexican experience you are going to love it here!

Great experience even if Jorge don't have is own brand yet. The mix between social works and field work is really interesting. I really had fun with Jorge and ready to come back when the first agaves are ready to harvest and taste the result of course :)

This was a great experience for me and I would repeat it without a doubt! I learned a lot from the month I was there and I made many friends that were volunteering as well as locals. The work was challenging but rewarding and Jorge was a great host and friend to me. I would recommend this to anyone looking to learn about the organization and Oaxaca in general. I wish much success to this project and deeply appreciate my time there.

This volunteering is truly an unique opportunity! There's no better way to learn about true Mexican culture than staying in a non touristic place like Miahuatlán! My working position was a bit different as I teached English to Jorge's niece and nephew and made my way to the farm only once, but nevertheless I learnt a lot about the organization and also participated in helping on the local market! Loved this experience and recommend it to anyone who is willing to work hard and is eager to learn about Mexican culture in the most authentic way possible!

The idea of ​​this project is great, Jorge is a real passionate about mezacl production and willingly shares this knowledge. How much I learned and what respect I gained for the production of the organization is hard to describe. What I like the most about this project is the contact with the local community we help, and we also show that white person also has the same problems and can also work in the same positions, not only on the buyers' side Miahuatlan is in the middle of everything, every weekend (and you have 3 days off!) You can go to Oaxaca city, San Jose or the coast, it is a definite plus.

Jorge is truly passionate about this project! He is filled with ideas and committed to the project's success and making the experience brilliant for all the volunteers. He takes great care to get to know everyone and adapt and include additional opportunities for them to enjoy or use their skills. My role was new, and we worked together to figure everything out, and grow this element more- I learned lots !! Thank you Jorge, it was a great opportunity to be part of and I really felt at home. And also thanks to your family and friends… I really do hope to return one day :)

Really cool project! The place is far from tourism so you have the opportunity to meet the true local colture and people, but is even well connected if you wanna spend time in the close mountains or in the Oaxaca coast during the 3 days off. The tasks are often different so you never get bored plus the organization makes everything goes smooth! Jorge is an easygoing and cool person. Highly recommended!
