Volunteering at the hostel was an absolute delight! The fair workload and fantastic location made it a truly enjoyable experience. This hostel is by far the nicest I've ever visited, offering a serene and calming environment. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow travelers. Carlos's warm invitations to volunteers and Angelica's prompt responses to any queries added to the positive experience. Overall, my time at the hostel through Worldpackers was exceptional, and I highly recommend it, especially for first-timers.

I absolutely loved my experience at the hostel. The location of the hostel is perfect and I felt very safe walking around Old San Juan every day. The housekeeping shift and the reception shift are both easy and a fair amount of work. Carlos is very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond any time I had a question! It was my first World Packers experience and I'd recommend staying at the hostel to anyone!!

I had a great experience at the hostel! The location in old San Juan is perfect and in walking distance to a couple beaches, restaurants, and my favorite spot, the cat sanctuary! The work in the hostel is super easy and fair. I worked 4 mornings a week and had 3 days off. Everyone I met at the hostel was super nice and welcoming, especially Carlos. Since I was the only volunteer at the hostel, Carlos went out of his way to make me feel included and always invited me when he was going out to different spots around the island.

I absolutely fell in love with PR I'm already planning my trip back in January! But I met some of the best people at this hostel, it isn't necessarily the most social but if you yourself put yourself out there and talk to people you'll make friends so easily. Calle San Sebastian is like a 10 minute walk away so I made a bunch of local friends there too. Originally I was supposed to stay in a private room above the laundry room but I personally didn't feel the best having to go up and down the ladder carrying all of my stuff but Angelica was super understanding and accommodating. 10/10!!

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel! Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming. The work is very fair and I enjoyed it: mostly cleaning/housekeeping work with some reception. It's well worth it for the trade of getting to live in one of the best places in San Juan! I felt very safe as a solo female. I felt comfortable walking alone as well which was important to me. Ubers are very cheap in San Juan! It's also easy to scooter to the beach and I recommend doing that if you don't want to walk. There's SO much to do in Puerto Rico and you will love it.
