Description
Volunteer will get 2 meals (breakfast and lunch) and have the ingredients for the dinner which they have to cook themselves in our kitchen as we don't have staff to prepare the dinner meals. Furthermore you can use the swimming pool, laundry machines and have unlimited water and coffee.

- You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
- Shared Dorm
- You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

- You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
- Lunch
- You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
- Use our equipped kitchen
- Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
- Free Laundry
- You can use our laundry room freely.
- Free Tours
- We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!
- Free Hiking Tours
- We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!
- Pick Up
- We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
- Support
- Get help from the Worldpackers support team in case you need it, at any point of your trip.

The Experience
We are a registered animal welfare charity in North Eastern Thailand, giving sanctuary to 550+ abused, abandoned, injured & disabled dogs & cats - many of them rescued from the horrific dog meat trade on our borders.

I had an absolute amazing time volunteering at the organization. I was there for 3 weeks and in those weeks I absolutely fell in love with the dogs and cats there, I made life long friends, and I gained some of the best experiences of my life. Melanie, the manager at the foundation, absolutely puts her heart and soul into every aspect of it, she loves the animals and volunteers alike, she made my time there comfortable, and welcoming. It is hard work but there is also a lot of down time, I would highly recommend this experience to everyone, it is just perfect!!!

I had THE most amazing time at the organization. The community within the volunteers is so warm and welcoming. The days are structured which i really liked and on the weekends we did stuff like going to markets and around khon kaen which was organised but the volunteer coordinator. Everyone is super helpful and provided guidance if i had any questions. Everyone was so incredibly kind and lovely and all the dogs are so well looked after and really cared for and they have so much love to give you. It really is such a rewarding experience and I could not recommend it more to anyone!!!!!

I had the most amazing experience at the organization the organisation and animals they help are absolutely wonderful. I am most definitely considering coming back here to volunteer again. Be aware of becoming attached to the dogs as it does happen. SSF has a small dedicated team, who enhanced my time being there. I couldn't recommend this enough.

I spent two weeks volunteering at the organization, and it was an incredible experience. I thank everyone for their dedication. The staff were kind and welcoming, creating a warm environment for both volunteers and animals. I enjoyed caring for the dogs—giving them cuddles, going on walks, cleaning, and feeding them. We received excellent guidance on handling the dogs safely. The community among volunteers was supportive with great conversations. I highly recommend volunteering here to anyone interested in animal welfare or seeking a meaningful experience. Thank you again; I'll miss everyone!

The organization is a big inspiration. Even though I had some personal issues and had to leave earlier, I have nothing bad to say about the place or the program. I was so sad to leave, because I loved the experience with the dogs and cats. But Melanie was super nice and understanding with my situation. I had a great time while working and spending time with the animals. I'm so thankful for it. I want to come back and experience this again in the future for sure, and I definitely recommend to those who need or want some time with dogs and cats, who have so much love to share with us!
