Volunteer visit at Buddhist meditation centre near Berlin

Many thanks to the Buddhist community and the other working visitors for this time full of beautiful moments, new experiences and profound conversations. I felt welcome and very appreciated. You helped me to leave my comfort zone, improve my rosty English, learn a lot about Buddhism in everyday life and come to rest. The memories of pujas, prostrations, amazing offerings, tea breaks, delicious pizza at Easter, molehills and garden projects I carry in my heart. See you next time. Lots love, Silvia

Once more I was welcomed with the warm hospitality of the Center family. Not only it's the perfect place If you are looking for quiet retreat completely surrounded by nature and to learn more about Buddhism, they'll kindly talk to you and answer all your questions, but also there are trains nearby constantly going to Berlin. The work in the garden was somewhat hard at times but they were always concerned about my welfare offering support, rest and equipment. Also there are lots of indoor tasks which are not demanding. Thanks for everything I enjoyed a lot!

This was my first volunteering experience, the the Center is huge and comfortable, people were very kind and you feel the tranquility of the place. Even though they need help cleaning the park the work is not heavy and there is no pressure to end quickly, you always can continue the work the next day. The way how they handle the administration is very good too: day off, work, meditation talks, etc. You can choose between two options Vegan or Vegetarian food. either way your choice the food is delicious. I enjoy living and sharing with the people of the the Center :D

Is the best place to stay if you are looking for nice people, good food and amazing place to work. Me and my husband stayed there for a week and a half, we helped the center with outside work, some raking, clearing and picking up some sticks and branches and throw them in one gigantic pile. But they have other projects to work on as well, including clearing some old gardens, fences, and posts, etc. Everyone there was really nice, in our free day whe went to the concentration camp near by and they helped us with some bicycles to go into town. If we have the chance for sure we will coming back.

Amazing experience! This was my first time at worldpackers and it couldn't have been more special. In addition to the center being beautiful and allowing you to be in close contact with nature, Antje and all the residents welcomed me very well, making me feel at home. The job went exactly as agreed and they were super flexible about days off. Learning a little about Buddhism was also very special and I feel really happy about it.

The Center was my first Worldpackers experience and has left a great taste in my mouth. The days are very straight forward and there is no point in time where I felt overworked. The people at the castle are phenomenal! There was a wide range of activities that my partner and I were involved in. We loved our time here and would 100% love to become involved with other the Center centers around the world. They also opened up their classes to us if we wanted to join to learn more about Buddhism! Definitely a great place to stay!

My experience at the center was beautiful. The people that live there are all good people, good hearts. They were all happy to teach me about their religion. Though the working hours are looong you have breaks constantly with tea/coffee. The house is beautiful and the natural surrounding is magnificent.

The experience was great. It was such a great experience. the room was cozy and comfy and people were pretty kind. Only thing was the job was a bit hard to me :'). But since Antja and the others were really thoughtful that was solved.
