I had an amazing time here. I met so many great people and made life long friendships. The volunteering while tasking is worth it. You'll either be cleaning or helping making breakfast. The area is really beautiful and wild. I felt so connected to nature, while surfing, hiking or just staring at the breathtaking sunsets. The volunteer housing is quite messy (the fault of volunteers themselves and not Joao). The surf equipment is also not the best but it's usable. It's great that we have a car to use ( it is a manual car). This was my first Worldpackers experience and I really recommend it!

My experience at the hotel was amazing. The host was always understandable about our volunteers' needs and despite the car's problem he always shared his own with us. The job is well organized and explained, and the hours of work are respected. The place is a little isolated but with the car it's easier to go around, hiking, see new beaches and places. If you wanna learn how to surf and being surrounded by nature it's the perfect place . I really enjoyed my all staying thanks to the beautiful people that I met. The place really give you the chance to connect with the others volunteers ❤️

I love my stay in the hotel :) Met wonderful people and the vibe was the best. You won't be bored there for sure :) Work was just a routine, maybe sometimes a bit tiring, but definitely not hard to do and hours were very well respected. I had incredible time there and would love to come back!

My week at the hotel was incredible! As mentioned in other comments, the work was demanding, but the hours were respected exactly as stated in the opportunity description. This meant there was plenty of free time throughout my stay. This time was spent at the pool, hanging out, and surfing until sunset, which was magical. When I first arrived, all the other volunteers were extremely welcoming. The volunteers have their own area, contributing to the homey feeling. Lodging is in dorms, usually 5 people in a room. The kitchen is fully stocked. Overall, my expectations were exceeded all around!

It was a great experience and I met so many people from all over the world. The working hours are respected and it's very fair! The only thing future volunteers should be aware of is that most of the time 10 volunteers life in the same space and it can get messy and dirty at times. Also there are not as many surfboards and wetsuits for that many people. Also only one car (if it works). I personally didn't care about it much, but I wanted to mention it. Also a big thanks to João for letting us use his car when the volunteer car was broken. See you next summer!

My time at the hotel was so special 🫶 There was a big volunteer group which meant we had an amazing time surfing, watching the sunset, and surf skating. The working hours are respected, and whilst the work is expected to be completed to a high standard, it is not unreasonable, and you can listen to music. The volunteer area consists of 2 bedrooms, and a kitchen area, which is cleaned at the end of each housekeeping shift, so is as clean as you keep it. The volunteers are also able to use the pool and gym area. Thank you the hotel 🫶

My first Worldpackers experience and it was absolutely amazing! Met so many new friends. Work was tough but hours were well respected. Both full time staff and volunteers were great. Had ample time off to relax and go to the beach. Do note that the work can be tough during high season. Will recommend hiring more staff in the summer. Volunteer rooms can be bigger (5 people in one room is a bit of a squeeze). But other than that, the stay was perfect. Special love to Bolinha (the dog) who I enjoyed taking on walks and Tofu (the cat, who keeps sleeping in my bed 😂). Thank you the hotel team ❤️

I had a really wonderful time at the hotel. João and the staff are truly lovely people and I enjoyed being around them for sure. The working hours were always respected and they always went out of their way to make things work for everyone. A great example of this would be João lending us his personal car to get around while the volunteer car was being repaired. I was able to spend nearly all of my free time at one of the closest beaches learning to surf which was amazing. The surround area is stunning and still very natural which I love. The pets Tofu and Bolinhas are so cute too :)

This was my first experience and It couldnt be better. The best part of the trip was the people, I met so many people of my age , everyone was outgoing and nice and we cared about each other, there was always something to do. The best part regarding the place was the location and the beautiful places around ( beaches, walks, clifts ans stunning sunsets). The only cons were the bikes (they were oxidiced), the car broke the last 5 days of my stay (I hope there is one new :) ), and the job was a little bit demanding some days because it was high season. It was wonderful and I recommend it.
