The Experience
We are a hotel that has been working with volunteers for over 10 years, we love discovering beaches and watching the sunset :-) We mostly need help in housekeeping and also in the breakfast buffet that is served to the guests. In winter we do a lot of maintenance work and sometimes some gardening tasks. Expect to have a lot of free time but also to have to work hard. We recommend bringing some old clothes with you that can get dirty. ;-)

I absolutely loved my experience in the hotel. The work hours are well respected, the staff is always eager to help with anything u might need. The people i met were wonderful and I learned a lot. I really recomend this experience to everybody.

I had an incredible experience at the hotel, it was my first volunteering experience and I would totally recommend. The people here are really nice and there is also a dog and a cat. The facilities could be better but it's fine. We had a car for the most part of my stay but it broke in the last few days. You also have a free surfboard. Thank you to the staff and the amazing friends I made here.

The hotel was an amazing experience. I met so many amazing people here. Work hours are always respected, with a 15 minute break each shift (you decide when). The location is stunning: 10 minute drive from the beach (car is provided by host) and there's some beautiful cliffs. Also loved bolinhas. The cutest dog you'll ever meet. I think the experience definitely depends on the people you're with but in my case, it was amazing and I'd definitely recommend! The only bad thing I'd say is the mould on the walls is something that needs to be fixed, it's pretty bad in the upstairs dorm and bathrooms.

This volunteering experience has been amazing, the hours were as expected. Easy work that was throughly explained. The host and permanent staff are all wonderful to get along with. A car is provided for volunteers to get around which makes trips to the beach/ shops very accessible. Couldn't recommend this place enough!
