I had a great two weeks in the Basque Country staying at the home's house. The work and work hours were exactly as agreed upon, and the breakfast and lunch was yummy and wholesome - local and in season. After work and in the weekends I could use the bike to see many different places around the area, and otherwise I could chill at home and/or enjoy the home's company. She has lots of interesting things to tell and is very kind. She made sure I was at ease :) I especially enjoyed practicing French and learning a lot about Basque culture, history and more - great immersion. Also: cute dog

The home is very welcoming and lively and wants you to feel good and secure. The area is so so beautiful and the sea is 5km away. The house is very old and not in the best condition, but for me that was no problem after getting used to it, it was mostly interesting to live a little different. If you're not too sensitive about the living situation, I would warmly recommend this experience to everyone!!

Had a wonderful experience staying with the home! She's an excellent hostess and has lots of cool projects going on around her home. She was an amazing teacher and offered us bikes to ride to the nearby oceanside. The Basque Country is a true gem that I recommend everyone experience.

The home is a very nice person who will make you feel welcome in her home. She has lived a very eventful and interesting live in multiple countries and therefore has a lot of interesting storys to tell and many fields of interest. She speaks many languages and can help you very well improving in them. The work is as described and can be a bit repetitive, which is just something you need to be aware of. The village is very calm and quiet surrounded by nature and the coast is more touristic. I wish the home all the best with her renovation plans and the many more ideas she has.

The home was a great host, she not only took time to offer suggestions of where to go in many neighbouring towns in the Basque region but she took the time to help plan out days, so I could make the most of my time in France. She also takes time to make delicious meals preparing not only the main course but also desserts and salads so you are always well fed, even offering to show me how to make the local Basque Flan. She is very welcoming and easy to get along with. The work was mostly scraping glue off wood, and the house while older was cosy and clean, and I throughly enjoyed my stay.
