Where do i start ?! i spent the month of may in budva, and had the most amazing time !! the tasks were so simple and we were often finished within an hour (off-season). Gordana was so welcoming and friendly, she made it like a home away from home for us and i can't thank her enough for having me. the other volunteers were amazing and the guests make the experience all the better ! we spent everyday at the beach, eating local food, swimming, hiking to waterfalls, and partying ! i couldn't recommend this experience enough- it was such a spectacular month with Gordana 🫶🏽🫶🏽

When I was accepted to volunteer with Gordana I was bit nervous. It was my first ever volunteering experience and I didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be the best month I had while traveling. Gordana is amazing, super kind and understanding, with one of the best souls I've ever seen. I'm truly grateful for the experience and totally recommend for everyone looking to stay some time in Budva. ❤️

This has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I feel so lucky to have spent time here at the hostel Backpackers Home. I have met amazing people, done amazing things, and seen amazing places. Gordana is the most incredible host. She cares about her volunteers and her guests and is invested in ensuring you have an amazing time. It really is like being part of a family. I cannot recommend this experience enough and I will never forget it. I hope to come back every year. Thank you Gordana and the hostel Backpackers Home for being the highlight of my trip

I had to cut my stay short due to mistreatment. First, i spent two days in Budva and then i was sent to the hostel. In the hostel, i was told my working hours would be 4–8 or 5–9, but the owner asked me to start at 2:30 pm that day. When i asked if i should work from 2:30 to 6:30, she became angry and insisted i work all day. If she had simply told me that, due to unforeseen circumstances, she needed me to work extra that day, i would have done it. Instead, she chose to yell at me and claim i was being too strict with my time. No volunteer should be treated this way. I left the same day.

Gordana replied

This volunteer refused to take instructions from the staff and insisted that the owner be constantly present. Their attitude was arrogant and uncooperative. Despite being given time off, they did not participate in any social activities, which is a key part of our hostel's culture.

While their previous reviews were good, we were not satisfied with their behavior and attitude during their stay with us. They are not suited for a volunteering position in this type of environment.

I loved my time in Budva and in the hostel! Gordana and Biljana were amazing, and they welcome everyone with open arms. For me all month was perfect, the old towns are beautiful and everything you need is at walking distance is perfect for relaxing and meeting people from all around the world. We also helped with a theme survivors party that was very fun to make. I recommend this experience a lot, this place became a second home. Thank you for the amazing time ❤️❤️

Gordana was the perfect host, from the first day I felt like at home, she was a great support and she has amazing knowledge about the local history and not only. It was always a pleasure to chat with her, I spent there unforgettable one month. The tasks were very simple and working hours were always respected, there is no stress at all! I had a plenty of time to explore the city, enjoy the beaches, visit other places, Gordana was always very helpful, You can ask whatever You like :) I highly recommend this place, it was a great experience and I can't wait to come back :) thank You Gordana :)

I had an amazing experience staying with Gordana! From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. Her outgoing personality created such a warm and friendly atmosphere, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience. The work was straightforward and usually completed before the required hours, leaving plenty of time to explore the area and enjoy some downtime. I would highly recommend staying with Gordana if you're looking for a comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable volunteer experience

This was a wonderful first volunteering experience. Gordana and Biljana immediately make you feel comfortable and welcome you into their community! I worked in both Budva and the hostel and loved them both for different reasons. In Budva, the work was only 1 to 2 hours (max) a day so there was a lot of time to explore and go to the beach. the hostel required more work at reception but the schedule was flexible and still allowed time to do things out in the city! Gordana also works with you to make sure you have plenty of time off. I would definitely recommend this experience to other volunteers!

I had the best month volunteering in the hostel in both Budva and the hostel! The hosts Gordana and Biljana were so kind, attentive, and caring hosts and made my stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The work is super easy and straightforward, and your time off is respected and equals out throughout your whole stay. Your accommodation is clean and both hostels are in a great location. I loved spending my free time on the beach which is 5 minutes from the hostel in Budva, and exploring the old town and hiking around the hostel! Would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to spend time in the hostel!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it went above and beyond my expectations. Gordana and Biljana are so incredibly kind and accommodating for the volunteers. My time volunteering in Budva was split between cleaning and reception, with no more than 2 hours of cleaning and 2 hours of reception on alternating days. I also had the opportunity to work in their the hostel which was primarily reception and laundry. Gordana was so kind to give us the opportunity to join the boat tour in Budva as well. Thank you to Gordana and Biljana for the unforgettable experience!
