Because he can get experiences that he can't get in a classic hostel or guest house. We have a travel agency with numerous excursions and activities that our volunteers can get for free and get to know our beautiful country better.

Wow… I had such a great experience in Budva! Gordana, the host, was absolutely amazing – so lovely, welcoming, and always willing to help. The work was very light, around 2–2.5 hours a day, and super straightforward, which gave me plenty of free time to explore Budva and the surrounding area. The atmosphere at the hostel was relaxed and friendly, making it easy to meet other travellers. The events the hostel put on each night make it super easy to meet friends. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone looking for a balance of meaningful volunteering!!! ❤️

Such a fun time at both Kotor and Budva hostels! Super social and great for meeting people from all over the world. Gordana and Biljana take amazing care of you and I will miss my time with them

I had to cut my stay short due to mistreatment. First, i spent two days in Budva and then i was sent to Kotor.

In Kotor, i was told my working hours would be 4–8 or 5–9, but the owner asked me to start at 2:30 pm that day. When i asked if i should work from 2:30 to 6:30, she became angry and insisted i work all day. If she had simply told me that, due to unforeseen circumstances, she needed me to work extra that day, i would have done it. Instead, she chose to yell at me and claim i was being too strict with my time. No volunteer should be treated this way. I left the same day.

This volunteer refused to take instructions from the staff and insisted that the owner be constantly present. Their attitude was arrogant and uncooperative. Despite being given time off, they did not participate in any social activities, which is a key part of our hostel's culture.

While their previous reviews were good, we were not satisfied with their behavior and attitude during their stay with us. They are not suited for a volunteering position in this type of environment.

This was my second time volunteering at this hostel. It really feels like a home away from home! Excellent location, work is not difficult, and Gordana and Biji are lovely hosts. I absolutely recommend this to anyone.
