A truly amazing experience. We ended up extending our stay at the the school and had such a great time! The kids are amazing and willing to learn, which made everything so easy. Also, the food was great (vegetarian is possible) and the accommodation was nice. We stayed in a private room in the the school. We 100% recommend the the school 💪

This experience exceeded our expectations. I have no words to describe all the love we have received from the students and the family hosting us since the first day. The students are the most amazing students, they love to be there, they are fans of the the school, they love to learn and they love to have new teachers. They are curious and playful and sweet no matter the age. The students are from 6 years old to 17 and they all are respectful and make you want to teach them. The is close to the most amazing rice fields landscapes! It's so hard for us to say goodbye.

I second the kudos to the host, his family, the the school and its students, and I am very grateful for everything they did for me. Of equal importance to me is the the school's social impact on Cambodia's young generations. While most Khmer schools use obsolete learning techniques, like memorization and repetition without comprehension, the teachers in GVS encourage students to leverage their talent and creativity. The students feel special without any sense of entitlement, and treat their teachers and peers with genuine respect. They learn to fight for their lives with their own lives!

I had an amazing experience at the the school. I had my own room, shower and toilet facilities and 3 meals per day were prepared for me by Chiva and his family. Always different each day. I had never taught English before so i sat in on Kyle and Chivas lessons for a couple of days before we planned out a schedule for the week with me included. The children are honestly some of the most amazing children i have ever met and the whole place is like 1 huge family. They are so clever, eager to learn and really interested in getting to you know. I will miss being at GVS!

If you want to discover the local life, to meet people and to be involved in the community, this place is perfect ! Chiva, his family, and Kyle are welcoming, and they let me some time to adapt before leaving me alone in a classeroom. the student are also all welcoming, generous, interested and interesting. they are all motivated to learn English, but they also really want to meet you and spend time with you - whether they are 8 or 18. The accommodation is nice and the food is really good !

I had a really nice, enlightening, productive, enjoyable time here. Glad to work with a small local the school with some creative liberty in the program, while following the general theme of cultural exposure and English teaching. The students were engaged and motivated and took interest in us, our home counties and travel experiences. I could recommend this to travelers that want to be away from the big cities and see how rural locals live. Less recommended for flashpackers. The home was comfortable and food delicious. The host is agreeable and pleasant and I can recommend a stay. Great time

My time at the the school has been absolutely wonderful. The students are all so eager to learn and they will all welcome you very warmly. All the students, from the beginners to advanced, are very friendly and curious about everything. Staying with chiva and his family have also been great. The accommodations are nice, food is delicious and the people sweet. I have truly had a life changing experience and made some amazing friends whom it will be hard to leave. Gvs is a place I highly recommend!

I volunteered with my friend and itwas really the best experience! We loved working with the kids and we loved wverything about the the school. We even went on a schooltrip to kampot! Would definately recommend ❤️

I absolutely recommend coming here! This experience is amazing and I will certainly never forget it. Everybody here is so great: welcoming, kind-hearted and friendly. The food, accommodation and living in general is really pleasant and the the school is great. It's not only about learning English but also opening your mind and individual development. The students are so respectful and motivated and many of them became my friends. We spent every free minute together and I was able to learn so much about their culture. I always felt safe and welcomed and will definitely miss this place. :)
