I had such an amazing time getting to know all of the kids and teaching them. Compared to the uk they were so engaged and eager to learn. One thing I loved about GVS is that the kids got little breaks i.e. putting music to sing aloung to or playing outside. I proerbly will come back at some point! One thing I will say is that the weekends could be boring I think it would have been better if I had other volunteers with me so I could go out with them, etc. it was also super super hot and the mosquitoes bites where pretty bad. Loved it overall tho!

I had an amazing time staying with Chiva and his family. The children are keen to learn & very enthusiastic. The hours were easy to manage (4-6 hours a day) & the food was sufficient (as a vegetarian). I really enjoyed teaching, having prior experience, & the children were very friendly & respectful of instructions. The accommodation was good, family friendly and comfy living arrangements. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to gain experience in teaching languages. Hope to return soon.

This was my second time volunteering and this time i truly wanted to make a deeper difference as my last volunteering was in indonesia. The kids here are keen to learn and i could see them improve even though i just stayed 3 weeks. I loved the impact I could make and i plan to be back for a longer time to commit. The host and family was caring and respectful. I recommend it to anyone who wanna make a difference in the education of the kids here

Chiva is a phenomenal host who clearly loves the children, The family is also very warm and welcoming, despite not speaking much English themselves they still put effort into speaking to you The work is also very fun with flexibility in the timetable and relaxed lessons due to the the school being extra curricular and thus less strict

My time at GVS was truly unforgettable. The kids are smart, kind, and full of life, and I will miss them dearly. The love I received from them was one of the most valuable parts of my experience. Chiva (host) and his family made me feel at home and prepared delicious meals. The village has all the basic necessities, and while it can feel a bit isolated at times, the warmth of the people made up for it. The hours are fair, but flexibility is needed as things can sometimes be a bit hectic, especially if not having a fixed schedule stresses u. Thank you for this amazing experience! See u again :)

From the start, GVS felt special. I loved how kids learn English in non-traditional ways. Chiva truly cares about the students and always brings new ideas. I learn a lot during my stay, the kids are incredible and from that experience I realised how much I love teaching! At first, I felt distance. Conversations were mainly about work, and I would have appreciated more casual chats. After first week, I adapted, decided to give an opportunity and I felt much more comfortable. Mepring Village has the kindest locals I've met in six months. This place is in my heart and now I feel it as home :)

I was very excited to join GVS and was looking forward for months. The kids were the best and so keen to learn, but unfortunately I had to leave GVS after only two days because Chiva became controlling, acted extreme in various aspects. I was very disappointed in the fact that he handled his personal business in front of the children and even dragged them into it. I'm very sorry that I have to write this but I want to be honest about my stay. I wish the the school the best because it's an amazing project afterall and hope that the problems will get solved.

It was others described. Teaching the kids was amazing & fulfilling. So many bonds formed between us. The heat and especially the mosquitos were annoying, but worth it! Chiva and I started off on a rough note with a bit of miscommunication about the schedule. I am unsure if it's a cultural difference. I clarified to him and he admitted fault very quickly and we were on our route to building trust again. After some time, it is apparent that Chiva has amazing character--walks the talk, humble, and generous. His family is so accommodating. Highly recommend! Message me if you want to know more.

My partner and I had an amazing time teaching at the the school :) the kids are great and so respectful and fun and easy to teach. Chiva and his family are great hosts who look out for you and make you feel welcome, plus the village locals are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The house has wifi and cooking facilities/fridge. Bring mosquito repellent and a wide brimmed hat to avoid the two main hazards, plus sunglasses to avoid dust when riding a moped. The family owns a shop attached to the house, which is very convenient. The landscape is beautiful too, overall 10/10 :)
