I had an amazing time staying with Chiva and his family. The children are keen to learn & very enthusiastic. The hours were easy to manage (4-6 hours a day) & the food was sufficient (as a vegetarian). I really enjoyed teaching, having prior experience, & the children were very friendly & respectful of instructions. The accommodation was good, family friendly and comfy living arrangements. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to gain experience in teaching languages. Hope to return soon.

This was my second time volunteering and this time i truly wanted to make a deeper difference as my last volunteering was in indonesia. The kids here are keen to learn and i could see them improve even though i just stayed 3 weeks. I loved the impact I could make and i plan to be back for a longer time to commit. The host and family was caring and respectful. I recommend it to anyone who wanna make a difference in the education of the kids here

Chiva is a phenomenal host who clearly loves the children, The family is also very warm and welcoming, despite not speaking much English themselves they still put effort into speaking to you The work is also very fun with flexibility in the timetable and relaxed lessons due to the the school being extra curricular and thus less strict

My time at GVS was truly unforgettable. The kids are smart, kind, and full of life, and I will miss them dearly. The love I received from them was one of the most valuable parts of my experience. Chiva (host) and his family made me feel at home and prepared delicious meals. The village has all the basic necessities, and while it can feel a bit isolated at times, the warmth of the people made up for it. The hours are fair, but flexibility is needed as things can sometimes be a bit hectic, especially if not having a fixed schedule stresses u. Thank you for this amazing experience! See u again :)

From the start, GVS felt special. I loved how kids learn English in non-traditional ways. Chiva truly cares about the students and always brings new ideas. I learn a lot during my stay, the kids are incredible and from that experience I realised how much I love teaching! At first, I felt distance. Conversations were mainly about work, and I would have appreciated more casual chats. After first week, I adapted, decided to give an opportunity and I felt much more comfortable. Mepring Village has the kindest locals I've met in six months. This place is in my heart and now I feel it as home :)
