My time at the hostel was very good. Isabel is the best host ever!! The schedule is clear, the housekeeping is easy and my volunteer team was amazing. Is close to everything in London, and the food provided is very good. The girl's rooms are the best. Big, well-equipped, and comfortable. I totally recommend this experience.

Worldpackers conveniently deleted my original review. Sana is great and deserves a raise, Isabel has great recommendations, however I do not recommend working here for several reasons which I can tell you if you message me.

The positive points of this volunteering are the great location, comfortable room and the meal is delicious. :) However, this volunteering is for those who like to work hard. The cleaning work is a lot, and you have to go up and down several stairs at all times, sometimes carrying cleaning supplies. There are 7 kitchens, and several bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also not much interaction with guests, and it is difficult to practice the language.

Hello Joao,

We want to express our gratitude for sharing your feedback with us, and we highly value the insights you've provided about your recent stay at our hostel. We acknowledge that our establishment primarily caters to long-term residents, which can result in a social atmosphere that may not be as lively as that of a typical backpacker hostel. However, it's worth noting that we currently have 9 volunteers who are eager to socialize and frequently organize events, though unfortunately, your stay was not long enough for you to attend any of these gatherings.

Regarding our cleaning procedures, we prioritize maintaining a balanced workload and encourage efficient work methods rather than excessive effort. This approach is in line with the training our staff provides to all volunteers during their induction day. Cleaning appliances are conveniently located in cleaning cupboards on each floor for easy access.

We'd like to clarify that all the information you mentioned, such as working days, the presence of stairs, and the type of residents, was clearly outlined in the Worldpacker Ad and discussed during the interview process. To ensure a better match in future positions, we recommend thoroughly reviewing and understanding the details provided.

Wishing you the very best in your upcoming adventures!

Best regards,

Sana

In general, it's okay ! This is not a backpacker hostel ! Forget about meeting new people every day! This property is a resident house. People stay for longer and they don't respect you sometimes, the cleaning 🧹🧼 is okay ( Please don't kill yourself working hard, work smart ) You will hate the doors or the stairs. Never in my life have I opened so many doors as here. English culture! To be honest! It should be 5 days working, not 6 ! You won't have time to go to another city and explore ! You will be here in London for 37 days ! So I think 6 days is too much ! You overpay your stay here.

Hello Miller,

Thank you for your feedback, and we appreciate your insights about your stay at our hostel. We understand that our property caters to long-term residents, and the social atmosphere may not be as lively as a backpacker hostel. However, We have 9 volunteers looking to socialise and they often organise events. Regarding cleaning, we prioritize a balanced workload and encourage working smartly rather than excessively, by following the training our staff gives to all volunteers on the induction day. As for the doors, they are necessary for fire safety and are in compliance with UK regulations.

We want to clarify that all this information, including the working days, no stairs and type of residents, was provided in the Worldpacker Ad and discussed during the interview. Many of our volunteers have managed to explore London and beyond during their free time.
We suggest thoroughly reading and understanding future positions to ensure the best fit.

Thank you for being part of our team.

Best of luck in your future Adventures!

Kind Regards,

Sana

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I could not have asked for a better host! The staff was always straight forward and clear with the tasks and hour requirements and always kept to their word. The tasks were usually simple and we had plenty of time every day to see London thanks to the hostel's central location. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in seeing as much of London as possible.

Both hosts and other volunteers made me feel very welcome and I was comfortable from day 1. It was easy to get along with the people. The given tasks were easy to understand and if you needed help or had any questions they helped you right away. The working hours weren't long so you had more than enough time to explore the area. Over all would recommend :)

It was my first voluntary exchange and I couldn't find a better place. We receive good food and a nice room in a place super central in London in exchange of some hours of easy work. Isabel, Franco and Sana are great and understandable. The voluntary team were amazing as well. the hostel is the right place to improve your English, meet amazing people, get in touch with different cultures since there are residents from all over the world and also wander in this incredible city with less costs!

Since my first day at the hostel I already felt like at home. Franco, Isabel and Sana are the ones who will be giving you support all the time! They are empathetic and patient persons, but also lovely and kind. I can say that the volunteers that I have met at the hostel are my friends today! and the experience I have had is, without a doubt, one of the best in my life! the hostel feels like a second home.
