The Experience

As a housekeeping volunteer you’ll be at the forefront of our operations as part of the housekeeping team you’ll help to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness for our residents. Duties include : Everyday general cleaning including the cleaning of showers, toilets, bedrooms, public & communal areas, external areas, kitchens and dining room.

My experience at the hostel was amazing! The location is central and lively. The team was always kind and flexible. They provide only a t-shirt (no pants). One laundry and dryer use per week. If you're a picky eater like me: only frozen veggies (spinach and broccoli), and the food is often spicy and full of spices. Bring two tupperware containers—they're essential! I feel lucky and grateful for this unforgettable month. A perfect first experience. Highly recommend! The experience depends on the people you meet, not just the place. Can't wait to come back! It was my first experience volunteering, and it was very nice for me. The managers are very kind and welcoming. I worked in housekeeping for 4 hours a day (5 days a week), so I had plenty of time to visit London. The tasks were not hard, and the managers were very respectful of the agreed schedule. The other volunteers were very friendly and kind, and I also had a good time with some of the hostel guests :) The place is in a great location, close to buses, the train station, and the underground, so it's easy to reach any tourist spot in London. I'm really grateful for this opportunity.

This was my first volunteering experience and it couldn't have been better. The host and team were very kind, welcoming and always respectful. We had two meals a day, and leftovers could be saved, which was really helpful. I had the chance to connect with amazing people from all over the world. The location is incredible — a quiet area near Hyde Park, but still very close to shops, restaurants and public transport.I'm really grateful for the opportunity and would definitely recommend it! 💞💞

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. The hostel is in a really great area close to Hyde Park. The team and the other volunteers are all really kind and you can meet people from all over the world. The work is easy, schedules are respected and I still had a lot of time to explore London. I stayed with other female volunteers and got 2 meals a day. Would really recommend staying. Thank you for the opportunity!

My time in the hostel was incredible, I met many people and different cultures. My colleagues were very friendly and everything was communicated very clearly. At reception they are very understandable and gave me the opportunity to organize my time to work and explore London. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this experience! I hope to return soon.
