The Experience
We're looking for someone to help us maintain organized dormitories, cleanliness in common areas, do laundry, and handle special tasks like organizing and painting. You'll also need to handle check-in and check-out procedures, interact with guests from various backgrounds, and possibly assist with surfing activities, so swimming skills are important. Understanding English is necessary, and speaking another language would be advantageous.

- Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Everything was perfect. The place is nice and infront of the Ocean; in particular you have a surf spot at few meters from the hostel if you like surfing and you can take the boards and wetsuits. Rafael and his tram are really kind people, respectful of the person and of your time. Shifts are easy and flexible based on your needs, so that you have a lot of free time to explore the island. In addition, when he had time, he helped me with the surf and gave me precious suggestions to improve. A place that yu don't want to miss out!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was such an amazing place to start! Rafael and Ana were super nice and really chill about the work we had to do, so we had a lot of free time to explore the island! the hostel was so nice and super close to the sea so I got to go surfing whenever. I especially liked the boulevard with plenty of places to eat/drink, clubs and the wonderful beach! The hostel is close to bus stops but it does take an hour/hour and a half to get to other must-see places on the island. I made some amazing memories, recommend!

I recently volunteered at the hostel and had an incredible experience. The hostel is cozy and perfectly located near the beach, with great surfing opportunities, Rafael, the owner, is very friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. The common areas are inviting, and there's easy access to transport, markets, and attractions. As a volunteer, I had time to explore and discover many hidden gems. The tasks were varied and required effort, but I learned a lot and made unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

It was a nice experience at the hostel. Rafa is a truly friendly guy and he is taking good care of you and the other volunteers. The work is easy and you're directly at the beach.
