The experience

We're looking for someone to help us maintain organized dormitories, cleanliness in common areas, do laundry, and handle special tasks like organizing and painting. You'll also need to handle check-in and check-out procedures, interact with guests from various backgrounds, and possibly assist with surfing activities, so swimming skills are important. Understanding English is necessary, and speaking another language would be advantageous.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

3 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate Spanish or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 32 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Be from outside Spain

Program Details

We operate a cozy hostel catering mainly to travelers and remote workers. Our facilities are equipped to facilitate work while offering proximity to the beach. Additionally, we're currently in the process of planning a surf camp alongside our hostel, which will require assistance with guest activities and program coordination."

Activities & Shift

The hostel manager will schedule various shifts, ranging from early mornings starting at seven to late evenings ending at nine. Occasionally, there may be a need for work outside of these hours for special situations. Tasks include cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, food preparation, organization, planning, and other duties as requested by the manager. This role offers room for growth and development.
