The Experience

Learn about the lifesyle of a couple in Switzerland. Explore the beautiful surrounding with the lake and the mountains. The daily tasks will mainly be household tasks like cooking, cleaning, tidying up, cat care, shopping, and ironing. If you have manual skills there are also some tasks to do together. we like to spend time together for conversation, especially in the evenings. During day time you will sometimes be alone.

I had a wonderful time with Doris and Mario, P, the cat, and Doris Mother. There home is gorgeous and the most clean home I have ever visited. I learned several new things about housekeeping. How to use a Swifter and cleaning windows properly. I always love to learn something new. Doris and Mario are extremely friendly hosts and make you feel like a member of the family as soon as you meet them. Doris is a superb cook and taught me a couple of recipes that are fantastic and I will use them forever. Arbon is right on Lake Constance and so beautiful. There are lots of things to do also. My first time visiting Switzerland turned into an unforgettable memory. Staying with Doris and Mario made everything so easy and welcoming. I enjoyed every bite of the delicious local foods and treasured every moment spent here. One of the highlights was cruising around the lake on a bicycle — the scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and it was such a peaceful, joyful experience. I also tried standing paddleboarding on the lake, which was both fun and relaxing. Switzerland truly stole my heart, and I can't wait to visit again and create more beautiful memories.

I was very lucky to be welcomed by Doris and Mario and enjoy the company of their cat, Pigue, the true star of the house. The town where they live, Arbon, around the Lake Constance, is the perfect hub for accessing incredible places on short day trips by train or bus. I also made extensive use of the bicycle they lent me. Mario gave me great suggestions for outings, and Doris is such a chef, I didn't even dare cook for them. Thank you so much for welcoming me into your "the home" offering me the opportunity to experience the Swiss way of life 🇨🇭

My time with Doris & Mario was absolutely wonderful, they were so welcoming, easy-going, and a lot of fun to be around! Their home was spacious, cozy, and had charming views out every window. The location was great for easy day trips to nearby cities and even other countries. Even though my stay was relaxing, having some light tasks and responsibilities made each day feel productive. I learned about Swiss culture and cuisine in the most delightful ways. I highly recommend “the home” to anyone who wants a home away from home and an authentic Swiss immersion.
