The Eco is a really cozy hostel and really near the center. I got the experience to practice a lot my english and italian, meet a lot of people and make friends from all around the world. The job is really simple at the reception and serve the breakfast in the morning shift, but we had to do other tasks too, such as cleaning a little bit the floor of the reception, the outside area and cleaning the dishes. The will you 30E gift cards to buy food that sometimes were late. One thing you should know is that they count the day you arrive and leave as day off. In general was an experience for me

I stayed here for 3 weeks and met a lot of people from all over the world, but it depends on the season. The work shifts are mainly reception and generally taking care of the hostel, which is very easy and uncomplicated. Eco hostel is a cozy place in the center of Catania and you can make many day trips from there. You get 30€ Lidl vouchers per week to buy and cook your own food. You are in a small room with the other volunteer girls (the photos only show the guest rooms). Karma, Gabriel and Diletta are very lovely and welcoming people and you can always come to them if you have a problem. :)

I was so sad to leave, I loved it! I stayed there for 7 weeks and Karma, Gabriele and Diletta made sure that my time there was great. They were so kind and we had good laughs and talks. The work is mainly reception, which is simple and nice to get in contact with other travelers, I became friends with people from all over the world! You will get a small bedroom just for the volunteers and Lidl giftcards to buy your food. On your days off or when you're just working in the evening there are options to do daytrips to other towns, you can go to etna, shopping or just to the beach.

The hostel is a lovely hostel in the centre of Catania. The shifts are very easy and a great opportunity to learn about the reception work. The owners are very welcoming and always keen to answer any question you might have about the work, Italian culture, cuisine or trips around Sicily. The hostel is very small, hence it feels very cozy and peaceful. I felt very safe and welcomed. On a side node, I found it a little bit difficult to socialise with others, but it must be because of the winter seasons.

I had a really great time in Catania. I stayed for the month of September and got to enjoy great weather and the beautiful & cultural Catania. Eco Hostel is a cozy place where it is nice to spend your free time. The hostel is not very big which makes the work more easy, but you still have your own responsibility to make sure that everything is in order. Karma, Gabriele and Diletta are all very kind-hearted people who all made sure to make the volunteers feel welcomed. I will miss my time at Eco Hostel!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Eco Hostel - Gabriele, Karma and Diletta were a pleasure to work for! The hostel is super nice to stay at, the work relatively easy and Catania is a colourful city! Their profile is a little out dated so not all the info is correct (E.g volunteer room, hours, etc), but they cleared those things up upon my arrival and I didn't mind the changes. If you're looking for a good place to volunteer then I can definitely recommend them!

I Loved staying at Eco hostel, i'm really grateful for how Gabriele, Karma and Diletta treated me, they are truly lovely people and the Hostel is super cute and the work is easy. There are just Some things i want Future Travellers to know: you are provided a free breakfast, but not a lunch and Dinner, instead they say you'll get a 50€ voucher for Lidl every week, although i only got 3 , not 4. You will be sharing a room with the other Volunteers, but it is really small and has got no windows so be aware of the Heat! And you have to work more than 32 Hours a week, but overall i still Loved it!

Eco hostel was my first experience with worldpacker and it was amazing. The hostel is cozy and you feel welcome as soon you get there. I felt at my place the whole stay and the owners were really sweet and funny, I had good conversation with them! The job is easy and you can easily meet a lot of people all around the world. I would definitely have stayed longer than a month! Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

My experience at eco hostel was amazing. Karma Diletta and Gabriele are just the best people ever. They made me feel at home and part of their family from the beginning. They're generous and caring people and I'm forever grateful that they made my experience so special and relaxed. The hostel is even more beautiful than the pictures show right now and the location is perfect. The work is easy and fun to do, because there's plenty of time to chat with the guests and relax. 5 weeks wasn't enough for me and I'd go back the first chance I get.
