I had a beautiful time volunteering at the Center! Everyone was very friendly, and the natural environment is amazing! Great place to make lifelong friends. Two mentions regarding my time here / important info for future volunteers: - I worked on average 30-35 hours a week. (5-10 hours more than originally agreed upon.) - Without a car it is very difficult to explore and get to town. I highly suggest keeping that in mind depending on your goals etc. :-)

An experience I will never forget. The place is filled with lovely people! In this short 2 weeks, the biggest takeaway was the friendships I've gained, with fellow volunteers and the CI staffs. Workload : a variety of responsibilities. I've tried a few and there are some which are more tough than others (longer hours etc.). Some of the responsibilities is reliant of work needed to be done, so there are days where work is done by noon! Tasks are not explicitly assigned and instructed so it gets confusing at times… There are A LOT of bugs + animals but not fiercely hostile:)

I've had such a fantastic time here at the Center. It's really helped me understand my spirituality like no other place has. I did expect them to be more strict with rules. Lots of native wildlife which I've really enjoyed engaging with. People here are great and so friendly and so willing to listen to your concerns or go off on a spiritual tangent. Highly recommend to anyone who might be a bit lost, this place gives you purpose.

Everyone I met in CI was truly beautiful. I'm so grateful for all the precious memories I made, and the work was diverse and pretty fun. I work in the kitchen, with housekeeping and as a barista. What really excites me is that the Gompa is always open, and I can join teachings and meditation sessions whenever I have the chance. My experience in CI has definitely had a big impact on me, giving me so much strength to continue my life in Australia as a newcomer. See you someday soon:)))
