O voluntariado é uma troca entre serviços e saberes. A contribuição custeia gastos com alimentação, considerando que o voluntário terá à disposição alimentos saudáveis e de qualidade, e gastos com a melhoria dos espaços de acolhimento aos voluntários.

My experience at the eco village was truly eye opening ! I have helped in many different tasks and that is what I liked the most, the diversity of the daily jobs. From harvesting different fruits that the forest gives, like bananas, avocados, inhame, the fruit that holds the coffee beans , cajá-mirim,… to create digital drawings for a catalogue of the agroforestry that Lara and Luiz are developing. I also helped in the bio construction of a little house that in the 'work in progress stage' and it was great to help and learn at the same time about different types of techniques.

Minha passagem pela ecovila foi maravilhosa. Além de muitos aprendizados, também tive a oportunidade de fazer grandes amigos, que quero levar para a vida. Fui muito bem recebida por Luiz...uma pessoa maravilhosa, com um coração bondoso e solidário, que gosta de partilhar seus conhecimentos. Também fui muito bem acolhida por Suily. Agradeço pelas vivências, pelas trocas e pelas pessoas incríveis que pude conhecer...Raquel, minha querida parceira de voluntariado, Leco, David, Professor Joel, dentre outras pessoas. Agradecemos a todos os amigos que ali nos receberam. O voluntariado é bem diversificado. As tarefas diárias são distribuídas conforme as necessidades do espaço vão aparecendo. Minha companheira e eu participamos de trabalhos como colheita, manejo das SAFs, bio-construção, catalogar plantas, feitio do delicioso Banamel, etc. Após o termino a reflexão que fica para nós é de muito aprendizado, crescimento pessoal. Rolou roda de violão, almoço compartilhado, banho de rio e dança com os mosquitos :)
