MKMC was my first volunteering experience on Worldpackers—and truly unforgettable. Nestled in a magical forest near the coast, the project felt like something from a fairy tale. I initially applied for the art studio but was placed in the café, which I absolutely loved. The environment was fun, dynamic, and very social. The highlight was meeting an incredible group of volunteers from around the world and forming lasting friendships. I planned to stay two weeks but extended—I simply didn't want to leave!

I'm very grateful for the experience at the project, where I was very well received. It is a beautiful place with a strong connection with nature. I made friends with people from different countries and practiced English and Spanish. The work was divided with breaks and time to meditate and participate in classes about Buddhism, where I was able to grow spiritually. The vegetarian meals were all plentiful and delicious. I would like to thank all my fellow volunteers for the harmonious interactions, and also Tsalden and Susan for their attention to me. I recommend Manjurshi to everyone.

Thank you so much for an amazing experience and for letting me extended my stay for another two weeks :) It's a beautiful and peaceful place, with a large forest and a beach just a short walk away. All of the staff and other volunteers have been lovely. I've volunteered in the café and garden, and next week I'll be helping in the kitchen. They also offer short the project classes and longer teachings, which are a great experience for anyone looking to learn more. Thanks again! Henry

I loved spending my days volunteering in the project center. They are very organized, respectful with the working hours and the structure of the castle is amazing. They also have a lot of others volunteers from all of the world and everyone is so kind and lovely. All the meals are included, vegetarian (with vegan option) and very good. Truly recommend if you are looking for a place to learn about team work and connect with people. Also you don't need to be involved with Buddhism to volunteer there, but if you're interested they have a lot of classes that you can participate for free.

After this experience I can say that both the place and the staff are completely amazing. At all times they have fulfilled what was agreed and they wrap you up as a volunteer from the beginning. You can breathe an incredible peace and a super healthy and welcoming atmosphere.

This was my first volunteer experience, and I am very glad I chose the project! I was looking for a place with a community of volunteers, close to nature and the opportunity to learn more about myself and I ended up finding much more than that. I loved volunteering in the kitchen - Odro is a wonderful manager, and the environment is great to meet and talk to different people from the project. The place is beautiful, the food is amazing, you can attend daily the project classes and teachings on the project Buddhism depending on your work schedule, but the volunteers are the best part! DM for tips!

The project is a peaceful place surrounded by nature, perfect for those seeking calm and meaningful connections - it's a bit distant from the city. I built deep friendships with other volunteers in a welcoming atmosphere. Laurence, my coordinator, is always caring and supportive. The schedule is well-organized, with plenty of activities, and the vegetarian food is good — though it might be a small challenge for meat eaters. I recommend it to anyone wanting to disconnect, practice English and experience something different as well.

My stay at the project was truly transformative. Living in a castle, surrounded by breathtaking nature, and working in a large-scale art studio was a surreal experience. The work was intense, from 9 AM to 5 PM with breaks, focusing on refining sculptures for painting. Exploring different areas of the studio expanded my artistic vision. Daily guided meditations with Buddhist monks and nuns enriched my journey on a deep level. I met incredible people and learned invaluable lessons. If you'd like to know more, feel free to reach out!
