I spent the last two weeks in two ranches of Citlali and Manuel to take pictures.

This time have been super interesting and instructive. I was warmly welcomed by the two families who run the two ranches. I was able to learn more about Mexican culture and aquaculture.

I was lucky to be there during the town's patron saint's day where all the surrounding area came to celebrate.

I would recommend this volunteering to anyone who wants to get to know Mexico better, enjoy a beautiful nature, take part in a project with an environmental and humanistic conscience and improve their Spanish.

It's an interesting experience, the place where I stayed is isolated, practically without internet, good for those who want to disconnect for a while.
Fide, Nora and Miranda are wonderful people.
The activities were basically cleaning the tanks where the trout are and feeding them.
The region is beautiful, has a lot of mountains, but getting around is not so easy.
There are some points for improvement such as organization, maintenance of the rooms, but these are simple things that I believe hosts Manoel and Citlali can solve easily.
Finally, I recommend the experience.

First I would like to thank Citlali and Manuel for the opportunity to be a part of the team in their trout farms. It was an incredible experience and I feel like I learned a lot about aquaculture and sustainability.

I stayed at two locations, La Guitarra and El Rincón during my 3-week stay.

Also thanks to the farm-keepers Fide, Nora, Alfredo, Susana by showing me the surroundings, their culture, food and music! It was truly great to meet them.

Awesome experience in Zitacuaro. I learned so many things on my stay there. Huge thanks to Manoel, Citlali, Joan e Luiz. They make sure you don’t miss anything about Mexican culture. So many awareness about life too. Thank you guys, I’m gonna miss Zitacuayork for sure! ❤️
