I had such a great time volunteering at the hostel and would definitely recommend as a first volunteering experience. The work was easy and Salvo and Reza were really flexible with the schedule. Also, not to mention I didn't need to buy any of my own food! I also had a great time getting to know the other volunteers and guests of the hostel!

I had a great time at the hostel! Salvo and Reza are so welcoming and everyone got along with eachother:) It was my first experience and it couldn't have been better. This place literally felt like home also all the volunteers got along with eachother like a family. Had the best time there:)

I had such a wonderful time at the hostel!! it was my first time solo traveling, my first time in europe, and this was the perfect way for me to start my trip. I felt so comfortable and at home here. I made real connections with the other volunteers, life long friendships that I really hold close to my heart. Salvo and Reza are SO wonderful. So kind and welcoming (and also hilarious) they really care about the volunteers and do everything they can to make you feel welcomed. Highly recommend!! if you go, don't forget to ask Salvo and Reza about their insane lives, they have the best stories.

I stayed at the hostel for a month and I really enjoyed my stay here. Reza and salvo are amazing hosts, I felt very comfortable at the hostel and met some amazing people there. The work was not hard and you will have enough time to be able to explore Sicily. I would recommend the experience for anyone, who wants to see Sicily !

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hostel! Salvo is an outstanding host who goes above and beyond for both his guests and volunteers. The hours and work are manageable and exploring Catania was the highlight of my trip to Europe. In this role, it's straightforward which tasks you have to complete and is very easy to meet and befriend other travellers:)

This was easily the best first volunteer opportunity i could've had, immediately when i arrived i felt welcome and at home and that feeling only grew over my month at urbanpop. the work was not overly difficult nor was it ever any more/longer than described. salvo and reza were the most amazing hosts and always made us feel happy and comfortable in the hostel. i would recommend this experience to anyone

The weeks I spent at UrbanPop Hostel were amazing! The work wasn't difficult since it was just housekeeping and being in the front desk. The schedule was flexible and the hours were as agreed. Salvo and Reza are super nice and welcoming, I met some great people during my time there and had the chance to travel around Sicily. It was my first volunteering experience and I'm really grateful for it!

I had a really nice time at the hostel. It was my first volunteering experience and I really enjoyed it ! I met so many people and was able to travel to a lot of places in Sicilia. And Salvo is such a good person. The hours were as agreed but when there were less volunteers the work was a little bit more difficult.

The month I spent at UrbanPop Hostel was very special for me. The work was not very difficult, cleaning 6 days out of 7 and then 3 days we also had the reception shift. Salvo and Reza were very nice, understanding and flexible with the schedule. I got to travel around Sicily, I met interesting people at the hostel and I feel like I've really grown as a person during my stay here. I am really grateful for this experience!

I had an amazing experience :) salvo and reza were very welcoming and helpful from start to finish and the hostel has a friendly atmosphere. it's possible to travel around sicily from catania and explore more places. the hours are as agreed and the work is not difficult, only basic cleaning and reception. i had so much fun in staying here for over a month and it was very sad for me having to leave. i'm really grateful and i highly recommend it <3
