The Experience
Eindhoven is a student city, cozy and big enough to you discovery something new everyday but small that makes you feel part of it. Just like 3BE Hostel, hang out with Roos while you take care the house help a daily work and at least you'll start your day with a big smile :DIf you want to come and experience things like that, you'll share it by 3BE Facebook, taking care our Hostel, and clean is part of your shift, as well! I had a really positive time volenteering at the hostel. The hostel has a relaxed atmosphere with the weekends being more busy. It is located in a wonderful part of Eindhoven, close to beautiful parks and the city center. The hostel owners are nice people who have ran the hostel since the early 2000's. The common room is comfortable with a pool table and the volenteer room feels homey. Volenteering here gives you a chance to meet intersting people, see a more normal side of the netherlands, and get hostel experiance. ps Burgers is a free music venue on the same block, they throw great live music most nights

I had a nice month volunteering at the hostel, most shifts are 4 hours and and will either be in reception or cleaning. The volunteer room is quite big and is a good space to hang out with the other volunteers. and Eindhoven and surrounding area are quite nice to explore especially by bike.

It was my first time spending so much time in the netherlands, and i'll always look back on it with a smile. the work was quite easy, though you should know that the rules for how things are done are very clear and strictly followed. the place itself was calm and peaceful. volunteers have their own private floor with a rooftop balcony (!!), and i absolutely fell in love with the city. don't miss the chance to visit a spot nearby called 'burgers'—you won't regret it ;)) huge thanks to Michel and Franklin!

Owners Michel (with Tory the dog) and Franklin are very sociable with the volunteers. Morning & evening reception (check in/out) the hostel/bar duties were taught to me & were easy to learn. Some volunteers do afternoon-cleaning. Donatello the turtle is in the lobby with a pool table, arcade, and TV. Volunteer room is the entire attic with 3 bunk beds, couch, lockers, TV, smoking balcony, and heating in the winter. Kitchen (oven, stove, microwave, fridge & freezer) can be used by volunteers. Free coffee from high-tech machine. Staff bike also here. A great city to explore Netherlands from.
