Although I was only there for two weeks, I had a great time. The location is awesome, it just gets a little hot in the sun. The work can be hard but feels very rewarding. The tea and snacks are superb, and my legs are very in shape. I would definitely recommend to come for three or more weeks to really live the life and see all that is around Isca. Thank you Iris and Martín for everything 🤘

This was my first world packers experience and so so worth it, Iris is truly a lovely person. The work was satisfying and we never worked over time. It was a welcoming environment to be in, I'll miss the tea breaks ! Isca is a wonderful place to be, in the first week I stayed in the chicken house (amazing views) and the next week in the riverhouse watching the fireflies. Iris was able to give us lifts to san andrea, soverato and the beach when our plans crossed over and the journey back was never difficult, it's a beautiful, safe space in southern Italy and I hope to come back in the future.

This experience had the most healing impact on me. I feel energised, inspired and full of love. You became a very special and dear human for me, I learned a lot. All the tasks were interesting and so diverse. The energy your land holds is something unexplainable and beautiful. Forever grateful for this :)

We stayed at the farm for 2 weeks in April which was a great time for being there, as nature just started to pop. Our working schedule was from 8 am to 1 pm during which we had a longer break, when we had tea, and snacks. We were mainly working with maintenance, cleaning (the chicken and rabbits) and the garden (cleaning from the weeds). The job was fulfilling, it provided us with the feeling of usefulness. Iris was easy to communicate with and she could accommodate our needs (swap days due to market day in a nearby town). She was open to our ideas, and we felt trusted from the 1st moment.

This experience was unsafe, dishonest, and distressing. You do not stay in the house shown - instead it's a remote shack at the bottom of a dangerous mountain trail. No electricity, no lighting, no running water by day 5. Kitchen had no door, full of bugs, fridge was far uphill. Host was aggressive, dismissive and blamed me for raising concerns, gave no real Italian lessons, and made us divide and cement up a mountain without any safety gear. I am someone who travels alone often and enjoys solitude, but this is extreme - I left after 5 nights. This host exploits volunteers. Do NOT stay here.

After many positive reviews about the WPS, unfortunately, one now has no stars. Not everyone appreciates the natural experience by the river, as clearly stated. This girl thought they did, but the reality turns out differently. Blaming the temporary lack of water, only one solar lamp, or the missing photo of the location is a weak excuse. Many others have gone before her; read the reviews. Communication was lacking, despite me asking if everything was okay. Fortunately, everyone is free to leave

The only thing better than going to Isca to work with Iris once, is going there twice!! Once again, an absolutely amazing experience, all of the people you meet are lovely, the surrounds are beautiful, the work is varied and although it's sometimes physical, it is always enjoyable and very rewarding. Iris welcomed me back like family, and I hope that one day I will return again (if I could stay forever, I would!!). Thank you Iris and Isca <333

I had the most wonderful time here in Isca. The location is beautiful and allows time to disconnect, enjoy nature, and also have fun. Iris is hard working, fun- loving, very kind, and is always sharing anything she has to offer. Be prepared because the work is physical at times but still quite enjoyable, and Iris would often work along side us. This was my first world-packers experience, and i would recommend it to anyone as long as you're willing to work and you have a good attitude.

Isca and the surrounding area is so beautiful. I enjoyed the tasks, watering plants, picking fruits or cleaning rental B&B's. The work hours were good and we always had breaks in the heat. Iris is an amazing host, really caring and made us laugh. She involved us in her plans of the beach, the market or even nearby village festivals. Our accommodation is not pictured, an old house with no electricity which was sometimes a challenge but allowed us to disconnect and enjoy the nature. The water supply was unreliable so sometimes had to rely on the river. I loved how much time we spent outside:)

Staying in Isca was an incredible experience and one I will never forget! Iris was a fantastic host who is super friendly and takes great care of her volunteers. Whilst the accommodation was not the pictures shown in the advertisement, it was a lovely property and allowed myself to connect with nature, improve my own cooking skills and relax. The only issue being an unreliable water source, meaning having to use the river to bathe and drink from. The work was physical and at times was extremely hard due to the high temperatures and sun exposure. But it is great for getting you fit !!

This was my first experience ever as Worldpackers and I can only say that I was extremely lucky to stay in Iris place, the place feels like heaven, is how me and my mates used to call it, our little paradise, is a place were you can connect and enjoy with nature, also to connect with Calabrian and Italian culture, neighbors are amazing and really friendly that always make you feel part of the community! And what to say about Iris, she is the most lovely person in the world, she will open her life to you and will take care of you like a mother do, thanks you Iris so much for this experience💗
