If I had known it volunteering would have been this good I would definitely have applied for longer, it's sad that I only stayed 10 days. Iris, the hostess, is just perfect, super friendly, explains very well what we have to do and even helps us if we have difficulties, as well as taking some tea breaks when there is time. Work is from 8 am to 1 pm, so we have the rest of the day to enjoy the place which is simply wonderful, one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. Anyway, everything was wonderful, I hope to come back one day <3

Wow this experience was so special for me. I felt truly immersed in authentic Italian Calabrian culture. The village is picturesque and was inspiring for me as an artist. Iris is a unique, beautiful soul. She went above & beyond to help me and others feel welcome with her nurturing motherly spirit. So fun to adventure with her on hikes to beautiful secret places of Earth! I would recommend others to bring many layers of clothing (including gloves & warm hat), a good coat, & cozy sweater especially if you visit around winter. I believe I will come back someday :) grazie Millie miss Iris <3

My experience at the farm was absolutely great. The place is a dream come true and Iris has a very special, vital and generous energy. I did different stuff so I could learn about animals and plants. I also visit the town and the surroundings which is beautiful! I super recommend this experience :)

I enjoyed my time in Isca with Iris and the other volunteers. Iris was very welcoming and open, and it was very nice to hang out with her and her lovely family. The working hours were 7am-12pm so you had the rest of the day to relax and rest. Make sure you bring some books because there is a lot of free time! It was great to get to meet the other volunteers and spend some time by the sea and in the surrounding villages. I would recommend this experience :)

El lugar es un paraíso terrenal, era como estar soñando con los ojos abiertos. Iris es una persona maravillosa, muy cálida, amable y graciosa, como le gusta decir a ella “un sol”. El trabajo no es para cualquiera, requiere de esfuerzo físico y la mayoría es al aire libre, pero es entretenido, se aprenden cosas nuevas, son pocas horas por día y los turnos son flexibles. Ame mi estadía en Isca, no veo la hora de volver!

Gracias Iris por aceptarme y permitirme conocer el cielo, en este lugar puedes ver el mar y bañarte en el río, ver el sol, la luna y las estrellas (sobre todo estrellas fugaces), desconectarte del mundo y conectarte contigo mismo y por supuesto conocer otros voluntarios con quienes no solo compartes tiempo cocinando recetas deliciosas sino también intercambiando su cultura. Los vecinos son muy amables contigo y qué decir de Iris, bueno, ella es sencillamente increíble, lo que necesites siempre cuenta conmigo.
