Volunteering at the hostel was a great experience! I built great connections with people and became a bit more social. It is a very open and laid back atmosphere, but work still got done. Everyone was welcoming and so helpful. I volunteered at both locations and severely enjoyed the pool. Like every hostel experience, there are always little things to improve. I loved it so much, I decided to extend. I have learned so much at the hostel, including patience and working with challenging people. I highly recommend!

My first WP experience couldn't have been any better. Neri is very easy to talk to and available often for any questions that may come up. 5 star recommend!

The hostel was my first volunteer exchange ever also my first time in a hostel in general and I can not say enough about this place the people and Sage and Neri literally the best experience I have ever had in my life management is absolutely amazing and everyone is a team. The location exceeded my expectations and was ever nicer then I could've imagined with everything extremely near by food restaurants bars everything it was the best place to be and I am so happy I picked the hostel for my first trip I would 1000 percent go back with in a heartbeat!

My stay at the hostel was incredible! The property itself cannot be beat (Isla Verde), which you will also hear from many travelers coming through as well. The work overall was very collaborative and you would help out where needed. Some times I would be working reception and other times I would be sweeping or folding laundry. I learned a lot about what it takes to run a hostel as this was my first Worldpackers experience and first time staying at a hostel. This is a great place to meet other travelers and practice your Spanish. I would definitely come back and work with Neri again!

I was in the Reception, and I gained knowledge with receptionist tasks which was nice for me. The hostel was just opening a new bar at their second location and were of course focused and busy doing that so I felt a bit lost or I needed more guidance and introduction in the beginning. But after the first two weeks I started to figure things out my self, if my kind collegues couldn't answer. Night shifts can be long in the reception, I didn't expect that, but now I know. I made friends & tours with locals and improved my spanish by going out solo. the hostel are good for staying. Cl LoĆza.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. I was at the hostel in Isla verde (they're newer location). The property was gorgeous. Always very pretty and upkept. This location has a pool and is a 4 min walk from the beach. The rooms were really nice and was the nicest hostel I've stayed at. Work was really good, the host was great at communicating and working with peoples schedules. I would easily come back and work here again.

This is my first Worldpackers experience, and I can't say enough about this place. I may be ruined for all other hostels. I actually got sick right before I was scheduled to leave to come here and they were super understanding and allowed me to change my dates. There is definitely a "family vibe" with the volunteers and staff. There are two locations, and I was assigned to the Isla Verde hostel. It's very clean, beautifully decorated, has comfortable beds, very relaxed, and even has a pool. Every guest I've spoken to has said it is the nicest hostel they've been to. Highly recommend.

Had a great time at the hostel the location was amazing as only a few minutes walk to the beach and avid plane spotters would love it as see planes coming into the nearby airport all day. Was a great hostel and the staff and other volunteers were great to work with. Are given amble time to go explore San Juan and the rest of the island on your time off and made to feel welcome by Neri and the team immediately. It helped especially being in a new country and unsure of the surroundings. I would highly recommend going to the hostel if going to be in San Juan

My stay here was pretty good, I left another hostel due to bad conditions and Neri, the manager, didn't doubt a minute about giving me the volunteer position. She's amazing. The hostel is really clean, good facilities and great location although if you're looking for the backpacking vibe, this is not the destination. I was there during low season and was boring. But overall good experience
