Help out in the biggest hostel in Zagreb, Croatia

Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience at the hostel. Upon arrival, I was shown to my room which was in a filthy state. It was messy, very dirty, and not at all what I expected. After seeing the situation, I ended up talking with the host, who interviewed me, and he suggested I stay in the other room of volunteers so I did. Although this other room wasn't in such bad conditions, I felt very discouraged to go through with the experience so I decided to leave and not volunteer. I informed the host of my decision by sending a message which I never got an answer to.

I definitely enjoyed my time in Zagreb, the hostel is in a great location to explore the city and rest of the country as well. The hours were respected and Efrain was an amazing host, making sure I felt welcomed and taken care of during my entire stay. The meals were great, and the majority of the staff were very friendly with me and I enjoyed working with them. I want to clarify for others that I felt this was more of a hotel and lacks the young traveler community. Because of the bars and club, there are a lot of people around that aren't guests. Also, smoking inside is allowed.

Volunteering at the hostel was rewarding and enriching. The staff were friendly, the tasks manageable, and the atmosphere welcoming. I enjoyed engaging with guests and learning new skills while feeling at home in the heart of Zagreb. 🌟

Met the best people here friends for life however there was some complications that were hard to overcome I know the team did what they could but the problem is they need more security for the night life of the hostel it was a learning experience for me and many others I hope you are able to voice your honest thoughts on your experience here please don't be quiet if you run into issues please make them known thank you to Efrain and Matthew and the staff I was always with they made me feel at home please know there are many you can trust here but please be cautious of the partying at night.

My first volunteering experience was at the hostel, and honestly, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I met people who made me feel at home while I was away, like a second family. Regarding the tasks, they are easy to accomplish, and you can earn some money by working in the kitchen. You also have money from tips and one free drink per day. They have two bars and one club, if you enjoy partying, this is definitely a place where you should go. Words can't fully explain the vibe of this hostel, you'll have to discover it by yourself. Thank you to everyone ❤️

This was my first worldpackers experience and I was very impressed! I ended up having to leave early but they were incredibly flexible and understanding. The work is easy and never takes up a whole day. They are very flexible and always made an effort to make sure people were able to take off certain days for a day trip if it was communicated. It is definitely a party environment, so if that's not your vibe you might not have the most fun. However, everyone is incredibly welcoming and kind. It's a great place to meet people from all around the world!

I had the most amazing stay at the hostel. Everybody is very welcoming and the atmosphere is amazing. I met the most incredible people there and have made lifelong memories. The work is as agreed and you even receive money for working in the kitchen and tips from bar shifts. The social aspect is great with the 2 bars and the nightclub. Efrain and Hayley are amazing! I felt so welcomed and everything was explained to me so well. They are really good at organising things for the volunteers to do together such as private karaoke nights in the bunker! So grateful for my time there :)

My experience in Time Out was good, the location is great, the staff is pretty nice and explains everything you need to do. The tasks of the job are easy and simple, but I thought a bit of hard work, what is expected from the volunteers is a lot (more than all the others volunteers I did previously), also you always make the 5 hours, not less, not more. And also in some shifts you receive tips, what it's really nice :) Besides that, here's more a hotel vibe than a hostel, so don't expect meet guests or a comum space to interact. In general, I liked my stay and recommended it!

I had the best experience here! I met so many amazing people, both volunteers and staff. I immediately felt welcomed by everyone which made me feel so safe. The jobs were simple, easy to follow and fun. I especially loved working rooftop at night :) I recommend to anyone and everyone to volunteer here!! The hostel is very aesthetically pleasing and always so lively. I hope to come back to Zagreb in the future and see all the wonderful people here :) Thank you the hostel!!
