The Experience

Due to a cancellation we have space for 1 volunteer from 1st-30th June. Horse experience necessary. We are looking for people to volunteer with us in exchange for food, board & horse riding lessons. We are an equine stunt teams, based in the Scottish borders, we have 5 full-time members (& 2 children) who live & work on the farm towards our passion(training animals)all year round. We look for enthusiastic volunteers to help us on our journey.

My time at Langton the host was a great experience! The whole team are lovely and very welcoming. It was very fun going to the shows with the team and helping with the jousting. The horses are lovely and so are the chickens and Apollo (dog)! I would definitely recommend, thanks to the whole team.

Always a lot of interesting works happening and funny and nice people around. During the show season is a great opportunity to travel around Scotland and visit really nice festivals. It was a wonderful experience!

Volunteering at the host was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I enjoyed every single day there and could feel myself growing personally. You are a part of the Team from day one and they all make sure you feel included and really care about your well-being. Because of the close relationship between everyone living on the farm, this is the perfect place to learn about the local culture. The variety of work task to do helps to learn new skills and due to the great, positive atmosphere everything is fun. Again a big thanks to the whole team for having me♡

I had such a lovely time on the farm, I learnt so much from Sophie as well as Melissa and Sue, they are such wonderful people to work and live with. The horses are incredible as well as the other animals on the farm. Jobs were well communicated and the house and rooms are lovely and cozy. Evenings spent with everyone were wonderful! On my days off I did day trips to Newcastle and Edinburgh as well as just spending time enjoying the farm and hanging out with the animals and kids was fab. I would love to come back some day !! 💗

If you can only volunteer in one place then it should be with them! The entire team is so absolutely lovely and kind! The kids are really well behaved and the animals are so sweet! The food was amazing, as dinner is cooked by either Sophie or Sue, and they are incredibly accommodating towards allergies! Breakfast and lunch is make it yourself, but all the ingredients are supplied! The only thing to note is that the work hours are longer (6-8), but the work isn't hard and the time really flies!! I really hope I can come back some time!!
