During my time at the hotel I met lovely people and made great memories. The hours are respected and the job easy. The only negative point would be the facilities (rooms and bathroom) which aren't great but nothing unbearable. If you want to explore the south of England it's a great place to go.

This was my first experience as a volunteer and it was overall very good! the job is easy and the schedule is very flexible. however i do have to say, they don't always have the volunteer's best interest at heart, and i felt that in several different occasions. so i had days where i was a bit uncomfortable because of it. it was still a nice experience. brockenhurst is a lovely town and having the train station so close by makes travelling very easy.

I can only recommend the hotel as Worldpackers experience. Great environment to work, friendly staff and perfect if you want to improve your English. Working hours were in advance scheduled via app, and the managers were quite flexible if any troubles arised. Great!

I really enjoyed my 2 months I spent at the hotel. The team was really great and fun to work with. Working in the housekeeping and also the tea room was really nice, no hard work and in general just a nice atmosphere. I am really grateful for my experience and the people I've met there.

The volunteering was excellent, the facilities are comfortable and extremely clean, all the staff are very friendly and cooperative, the schedules are respected and established in advance, the tasks are supervised and there is a lot of feedback between the staff and each volunteer, the villa is small, but cosy, and the train station makes it very easy and relatively cheap to get to know other larger nearby towns. Hats off to the volunteers, the cleaning staff and the managers. Hope to see you soon!

Stayed for 1 month helping with social media. I shared a nice hotel room but also had to move every weekend to a house in a different town. Wasn't bad though and I understand the purpose of the hotel is to make money so keeping me in a room that they could rent would directly impinge that. Everyone was nice - mostly interacted with the staff at the hotel but Matthew and David (the owners) were cordial when I talked to them. Breakfast was supplied and though I did find the £35 weekly meal budget a bit low they were fine if I went a dollar or two over. Hope to return some day!

Everyone of that the hotel is so kind and welcoming! I was only able to stay for a week of my intended stay due to personal reasons, but the hours agreed upon are respected and Brockenhurst is a lovely place. One thing to note, during the winter months there are only a few volunteers at the hotel, so it can be a somewhat quiet work exchange. Be prepared for some older facilities, but everything works and you are allowed to use the professional kitchen to cook your own meals. I'd suggest this experience if you are looking for a place where you are surrounded by nature!

Thanks, Sophie, for your kind comments. We were sorry that you decided that we were not the right place for you as you wanted be in a city hostel with many other volunteers, but we do hope you found a suitable host in London and wish you safe travels.

This was my first volunteering experience and the hotel team made it easy! everyone was helpful and patient in helping. I would definitely come back, my friend and I stayed together in the same room, and we had the kitchen free to cook after 20 pm, chores were smooth and Matthew was super attentive.
