I really enjoyed my time at the hotel. The place is lovely and Helen & Phil and tea room staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Most of the work is cleaning the rooms and then help in the tea room when necessary, which I think should be mentioned as a task but isn't. Overall, it was a great place and great experience and I really recommend it.

I really enjoyed all the time I spent helping the New Forest Business Partnership. We attended many interesting events where I was able to practice my skills in filming and social media. More than just volunteering, it was a great opportunity to improve my professional skills. Matthew and David were very kind and made sure I had everything I needed at the house. The New Forest area is a truly beautiful part of England. I was able to visit many stunning places using the local buses, and I highly recommend exploring the beautiful beaches nearby.

My experience was unforgettable, living in a village in the south of England in a nature reserve with wild horses is really an immersion in local culture! The tasks were easy, always having a lot o fun with Ryan and the tea rooms team is wonderful and very friendly, if you are looking for a place to make friends with locals, connect with nature and learn new skills, this is the right volunteer for you! You will have a complete restaurant's kitchen to cook your meals after 5pm, a room just for you, a bike to explore around the New Forest and the hotel it's near the train station.

The first month I was in Brockenhurst and although the room and bathroom were not very comfortable, the team at Esme's Tea Room were extremely welcoming. Phill and Helen are incredible hosts and make you feel at home. Then I moved to Lymington which was bigger and more comfortable with plenty of cafes and things to do. At least there was an in-person event to go to each week hosted by Matthew & Alice and it was really nice to spend time with everyone and then prepare the content to post. The tasks and hours were always ad hoc to what was agreed :)

Helen replied

Thank you for your kind comments about our team, but we do not understand what you mean about the tasks and hours being ad hoc - because we always work within the agreed hours. We trust our volunteers to manage their own time around their other commitments.

The This was a lovely place to unwind and spend time in nature after work, the host and my colleagues were very pleasant people and it was a great break from fast-living.
