I had an amazing time!☺️ Russel is a very friendly and reliable person! The work at the studio is really enjoyable since everyone I've met there is really kind and the conversations you have with the Koreans are delightful. Of course it depends on who you're talking with; some have higher communication skills than others. However, with a talkative personality you can easily adapt and find conversations topics that are of interest to everyone. It's just such an amazing concept with a win-win-situation for everyone. Because of it I got to know sooo many interesting aspects of Korean culture🤩

Russel is an amazing host, very carefull with us and always always available to help us with any problem, not just on the volunteering, also in the country a real friend. The position to this voluntieer job is just how it is described, which is amazing, the acomodation its just 10 min away from the studio and the city is very chill and charming, ecxactly what I was looking for. I would recomend this position for everyone interested in learning more about koreans in daily life in a non-touristic city.

This language studio is an amazing way to spend time in Korea whilst learning about the local culture from the students. There may not be as much to do in Deajeon compared to Seoul but there's still enough to do and loads of clubs and sports to get involved with instead. The work is very easy and Russel is a very kind and helpful host to have. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to spend some time in Korea outside of the crowded tourist destinations.

I had a very good time at the language studio. I stayed in deajeon for one month and had a very good time. I met a lot of nice people at the accommodation and also while working. The working hours were always respected and the work is not hard especially if you enjoy talking to people. The food that is provided is just basic foods and you will probably have to buy food a lot but that also depends on yourself. For me my time was wonderful even if deajeon is a city with not that much to see. I would really like to go back at some point and spend more time there. Thank you Russell!!

This is my first international voluntary trip and I feel it was awesome. I was warmly welcomed the first night by other volunteers and as time goes by I have made a lots of friends in daejeon. The work is meaningful and local people here are friendly. It not only offer me opportunities to get immersed in Korean culture but also enable me to promote my hometown's culture. The accommodation is well located that we can get to anywhere we want on foot or by taking subway or ktx. Russell is such a sweet guy always ready to help us. And I am really grateful for your support and encouragement :)))

Daejeon is a chill city, very located. The accommodation & are simple but sufficient. I would still say that you will easily need to buy more food since it's only the basics. The work is simple too, very well organised and the perfect way to learn about Korea and to meet people. The schedule is very clear & flexible on a weekly basis, which is perfect to travel around on your days off. I'd recommend this stay.

I had a truly great stay, I loved the work a lot, but the apartment is shabby. If I could give 3.5 I would have, because it's still a great thing to do Cons: - Very uncomfortable beds, hard thin mattress & bunks shake a lot - Apartment is TINY for 7-8 people, minimal natural light and only one shared bathroom - Weird communication from host on certain topics Pros: -Great chance to understand Korea -Made amazing local friends who brought us for dinner multiple times -I enjoyed every second of the work. Truly amazing experience Daejeon is a great city with beautiful streams

I had a wonderful experience volunteering at the language studio in Daejeon, South Korea. Speaking English with those wishing to improve their language skills was incredibly rewarding. Russell was supportive and assisted with anything we might've needed, and the students were eager to learn. I highly recommend this opportunity to anyone looking to make a positive impact while experiencing a new culture. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk from the studio so wasn't a bad hike at all; all your essential basics are provided.
