It was a very welcoming place to stay. Even though accomodation can be slightly crowded and uncomfy, its worth the experience. I was glad to meet other volunteers and interesting koreans in the language studio. The work is quite interesting and pleasant but can make you exhausted too. Daejon is more peacefull than Seoul but has more than enough things to offer. It was at least that way for me. Its in a good position to travel to other places as well.

Volunteering in Daejeon is definitely a good time. The city is way more relaxed than Seoul or Busan but great to spend time in. The Studio is an amazing place to meet locals and the work is easy and as agreed upon beforehand. It's really helpful to make some friends with students as well. The accommodation could do with some improvements and the food provided does not really replace full meals. If you manage your expectations in that regard, I absolutely recommend this experience!

The host is nice and friendly! I thought the work was fun but after 4 hours of talking it gets tiring. I enjoyed my experience overall. The area where the house/work is a very nice and I will miss this cute little path we used to take to our way to work. The food provided is simple but you can make a lots of different meals if your creative enough. I had an allergic reaction to the mattress cover tho I think the material is very cheap. But your experience will really depends on the team you'll get… Thank you for the opportunity:)

I was there for only two weeks but it was nice. You could meet a lot of new people and locals while practicing english. In Daejeon itself is not much to do but you can da lot of daytrips if you want. Everything was organized and you had a lot of free time before work. The host is very understanding and helpful you can talk to him if you need anything. :)

My time at the workaway host's place was enjoyable, especially the English language the guest house sessions. It was fascinating to engage in conversations with locals of various backgrounds, ages, and genders, which provided valuable insights into the local culture. Overall, it was a positive experience that offered me the opportunity to both improve my language skills and learn more about Korean culture.

This language the guest house was a wondeful experience and a great way to meet locals and get to know more about the city and South Korea in general. Everyone at the guest house is eager to learn more and do their best to engage in meaningful conversations, even when they struggle a little with speaking English. The work hours also make it easy for you to travel around and explore, especially on the weekend. Russell was nice and helpful, and easy to talk to. Thank you for everything! :)

Russell was professional but very friendly and the work exactly as described ^^ The dorm is quite small but with the help of all volunteers kept tidy :) The common room is ideal for late night talks and/or games around the table! You will definitely improve your skills regarding holding conversation and speaking with all different kinds of people! I think extroverted people are more comfortable with the work we had. Daejeon can be very enjoyable when you have a cool social circle, so start building one by going to a language the guest house for example or go out with your co-volunteers :)!

Daejeon is well located and good to live. You are going to meet people from all over the world at the accommodation. The work is easy : 4 hours/days and you will learn a lot about Korean culture. It's so interesting to talk to them every day. You'll have plenty of time during the day before the work. I recommend this worldpackers experience Thanks Russel and everybody I spended my time with ❤️

My time Daejeon was lovely, as I was able to meet lots of very interesting Korean people and gain an understanding of the culture and lives of people from the community. I also had a chance to meet other volunteers, whom of some I became close friends with, which made the experience very enjoyable! The food provided was not quite what was advertised when I applied, so this was a bit disappointing budget-wise. I recommend this experience if you would rather avoid being in a big city for too long, as Daejeon is very peaceful.

This was my first World Packers experience, and as a (slightly!) older traveler I was perhaps a little nervous - but I really shouldn't have worried! Everything about this experience was superb, Daejeon is a fascinating city and you really get to know a bit of Korea that most travellers don't see. The facilities were excellent, and Russell and all of the students were so kind and welcoming. I can't recommend this host enough, thank you again and I truly hope to return here again one day!
