This was our first worldpackers in Korea and it was amazing. Not only did we meet so many nice and lovely internationals, but we also made so many great friends at the studio. The working hours are exactly as written in the description and so fair. Working in the evenings also gave us enough time to explore the city and the nature around. Besides that Russel was always there for us and made sure we had the best time. We would really recommend it :)

First of all, Russel is a fantastic host and he really cares about the volunteers. The studio is a lovely place where you'll get the chance to meet locals and really get a look into life in Korea. The apartment is very nice and in a good location. The city is a very nice chill place to spend some time at and I really enjoyed the whole experience. Would 100% recommend and will be back if ill have the time and opportunity

Russell is an amazing host and does so much to make everyone feel welcome and looked after. He took us out for lunch on him one day and always made sure we had what we needed in the flat! The work is in the evenings and is really enjoyable: the students are keen to practise and converse with foreigners so it is really nice to have so many varied conversations and get great recommendations about what to do in Daejeon and beyond! The flat is nice and well looked after and the location is good for Daejeon. The city itself is well-connected to the rest of S Korea too! Thank you so much Russell!

My experience in Daejeon was absolutely lovely. Russel was a fantastic host: he was kind, attentive, and made sure to check in if there was anything we ever needed. The language studio was exactly what I hoped for, allowing me to get to know locals and learn about South Korean culture. I have made close friends with the other volunteers as well as the patrons that I spoke to at the studio. I'm grateful for the opportunity I was given to learn and expand my the guest house knowledge of South Korea through this experience.

I had a blast for my fist time abroad! Russel is an amazing host. He made sure that we are confortable during our stay. The work that we have to do isn't hard. It's very engaging and allowed me to learn a lot and have very interesting conversations. Daejeon is the perfect city for people with little travel experience like myself. You can enjoy the city convenience or explore the nature close by. On top of it all, I've meet amazing volunteers which become friends ! I highly recommend this place.

This was my first time volunteering with worldpackers and I absolutely recommend this program. Russell is such a nice host and tries to take care of you as best as he can. You could always contact him if you had a problem or needed help with anything. The work you have to do, is also great! I loved talking to all the locals and learning about the differences between our cultures. I had the pleasure to get to know some regulars even better so I looked forward to talking with them again. The appartement is modest but has everything you need. Thank you for the wonderfull experience!!

I had such an amazing and unforgettable month in Daejeon and couldn't have asked for a better first volunteering experience! Russell was very kind and hospitable and always made sure we were comfortable and had our weekly dose of Nutella! Could not have asked for a better host. I loved having the chance to engage with all the locals at the language studio and share stories, culture and lots of laughter. Daejeon is a very quiet city so if you're looking for a time out from the craziness of the big cities then this is definitely for you! I loved all my roomies as well. Highly recommend!!

Volunteering at the language studio in Daejeon was one the best decision I made this year! Russell is incredibly kind and considerate - he was always making sure us volunteers had anything we needed, and would go out of his way to accommodate different wants and needs, even dropping us off some mackgeolli for our late night chats. The work itself is incredibly cruisy, fun and interesting. You meet all sorts of people and everyone was very kind and had so much to share. Such a great way to see and learn more about South Korea. Would 10/10 recommend, thank you Russell! .

I loved my time in Daejeon with Russell and the team here. Russell is so sweet and a genuine person. The work is easy if you are comfortable talking to new people, literally just having a chat with locals. Everyone was very nice and open, so it was a fascinating experience to get a better understanding of life and values in Daejeon and get the opportunity to talk to people I wouldn't have otherwise. Daejeon is a quiet, peaceful city, and while I enjoyed it, it may not be for everyone. Thank you so much Russell, I had an amazing time.
