The Experience

Cloudberry is playing the role of a social farm. It provides social agricultural activities to various vulnerable groups such as community children's centers, disabled centers, senior welfare centers, etc. in rural areas. During this activity, you will help them and guide them to cook local food in English. We will also help them gain courage and confidence by doing garden activities together. so we need extra volunteers in this time . help us~~

Cloudberry was a great experience - Gimhae is very beautiful if you like to spend time outside. There are running/biking routes and the host Sam has bikes to use. There are also a few cafes nearby that we would frequent in free time. The experience was more working with kids than farming, but all of the kids were really sweet and excited to visit the farm. Sam took us around Gimhae and Busan on the weekends, which was very kind of him, and often surprised us with little treats. He is very kind and understanding! Facilities were what you would expect at a farm/dorm, I had no issues.

You know it's a great place when volunteers extend their stay or come back several times — and Cloudberry is one of these places! I really mean it when I say this is a life-changing experience. I am really grateful for Sam, Sophia, the farm, Mama and all the international friends I've met. Besides the volunteering work (which I really appreciate a lot), I really cherished all the moments especially all the day trips and fun activities with Sam and my friends! I will remember these good moments for a really long time for sure :)

I loved the experience at the farm. Sam really takes care of us and also makes sure to take us to different places so we get to experience the local korean life style . You can always depend on him and he will try his best to make your experience unforgettable. Also at the farm we got to experience not only the farmer life but also get in touch with locals and do different activities with them (for example playing games or decorating cakes). It really felt like I was part of the farm family and enjoyed every second of it. I highly recommend to to give it a try~

Highly recommend this experience–i really enjoyed working with the kids and families. it was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but eventually i got used to the work and it became super fun. i feel like i've grown a lot as a result, and i'm so grateful! sam is a great host, i got to try a lot of korean foods and learn so much about the culture because of him. will miss the farm and all the amazing people there :)

Absolutely wonderful experience!!!! Made lifelong friends while I was there and of course, the kids stole my heart time and time again. I did get food poisoning while I was there (don't know what from exactly) and our gas ran out a few times which made for icy showers but other than that I always felt safe and comfortable. My one caution for first time volunteers/travelers is to remember that you are not going to a five-start hotel. Basic needs are met but your attitude about the rest is up to you. So make the most of it! Sam was also very concerned and careful to respect our time off.
