My time at the lodge was truly a wonderful experience! It was my first time solo traveling and my first world packers experience and Sandra and Angel made me feel so comfortable. Sandra's cooking was amazing and I miss it so much. I loved all the conversations we had about the world and about life in costa rica, I really felt like I was learning things. I could not have asked for a better first solo traveling experience, absolutely recommend!

Volunteering at Sandra and Angel's farm was truly a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Sandra is such an inspiring woman—deeply spiritual, wise, and always open to sharing her knowledge and stories. She makes you feel grounded and connected, and her traditional cooking is simply incredible. Every meal felt like a gift! Angel is the ultimate host and the life of the party. He has a huge heart, welcomes everyone with open arms, and makes you feel like part of the family from day one. Whether it's working on the farm, sharing a meal, or dancing into the night …… thank you so much guys 🙏🏼🤍

I had the pleasure of staying 10 weeks at this farm and what an experience it has been! This farm is not only a place where you learn useful, practical skills like building, gardening, cleaning and problem solving, but more importantly is a place with a lot of wisdom about us humans and our place in nature and the universe. Sandra and Angel have so much knowledge to share, and you as a volunteer can also share your story! No matter your language background, all communication is valued here. But, this is also a great place if you want to learn/improve your spanish! ¡Gracias por todo!

I had a truly incredible experience at the lodge. Angel and Sandra went above and beyond to make my first Worldpackers experience so great. Sandra cooks delicious food that gives you an authentic taste of Costa Rica and is always happy to share her wisdom. Angel is great at making the days memorable and fun with things like karaoke nights. On the days of they would take us on excursions to nearby waterfalls and rivers, which are beautiful. I had a lot of fun hanging out with the goats everyday, they're adorable. Muchos Gracias Angel y Sandra.

I had a very nice stay of two weeks on the Farm. Sandra and Angel are very kind, welcoming and I had a lot of fun with them and the other volunteers. They speak Spanish so you can practice speaking very good. The other volunteers are from all over the world so you learn a lot about the Costa Rican culture and lifestyle but as well others. The work was fun, not too much, the goats are so cute. In your free time you are able to walk to the river and take a nice swim. The food is very good, local, varied and very delicious! I enjoyed my time at the lodge and would recommend it to everybody!

The lodge is in a serene and calm environment surrounded by beautiful nature. Sandra and Angel welcomed us with open arms and ensured our experience was meaningful. They are amazing , thoughtful and kind. Sandra is an exceptional chef and always prepared delicious vegetarian options for me. I loved listening to their passionate stories, anecdotes as they shared about their culture, history, customs, etc. Such a humbling experience. The river is 3km walk from farm and it was a refreshing daily activity. I felt we could have done so much more to help this wonderful couple.

We had two really good weeks! We helped with the animals and worked in the garden. Also for vegetarians the three meals a day were really good. The river is a 30min walk and the village a 40min walk away. Tip: Bring a moskito net+spray and clothes that can get dirty. Be carefull with the humidity - our things got moldy on the wet carpet. The daytrips we went on together were really nice. One was a bit expensiv and we didnt understand well why. It is a really nice, calm, green place and we enjoyed our time a lot! Thank you so much Sandra and Angel for this experience! We wish you all the best!☀

Sandra and Angel were very friendly, treated us with respect and we felt like home. We did daytrips at the weekend, which we liked a lot :) Only one time we had the feeling that the price for the trip was a bit high and we didn't realy understand what the costs were for. The work (feeding goats, cleaning the stables, gardening,..) was very interesting and we had a lot of fun with them and the other volunteers. Sandra cooks delicious food. We were allowed to use the laundry machine. Make sure to bring a moskitospray + net and clothes that can get dirty. Thanks for a wonderful time! 🐓🐐🌿😁🫂
