The Experience

We're looking for someone to do the housekeeping of the hostel. This includes cleaning dorm rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily. Housekeepers must have basic knowledge on HOW to clean. For the receptionist position, we require a basic understanding of computer equipment, good social interaction and joy for helping guests. English required. Additional languages a plus!

This was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have asked for better! Working in a hostel is such a great experience! I created friendships with people from all around the world. The work is very straight forward and Tiago is very fair and flexible with the working hours! Tiago was so welcoming and kind throughout my whole stay! Lagos is a special place and I hope to come back one day!

He's a great guy and really looked after us volunteers! The hostel was like a home and the other volunteers became like family. And Lagos is just incredible!! Cannot wait to come back.

My experience at the hostel was the best I could have wished for. Tiago is truly an exceptional host: kind, understanding, and always available. The amount of work is more than fair and allows you to have plenty of free time to see all the beauty Portugal has to offer. The hostel is cozy, quiet, and has everything you need; in short, the perfect environment. I absolutely recommend this experience

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel! Lagos is such a nice city to stay in, and there is so much to do there! The hostel is very close to the city center and nice beaches. Work hours were very good, and I always had lots of time to explore the city and surrounding areas. On the same street there are two more hostels as well, and it was also very nice getting to know the volunteers staying there!! Overall a great experience - I can definitely recommend!
