The work matches what is described in the offer. It's important to follow instructions and keep every area clean and organized. It's a good experience for volunteers who are responsible and enjoy maintaining order.

My stay at the hostel made me feel really comfortable. I came for one month, but I ended up staying for two. Sarajevo is a city that truly made me feel at home peaceful, welcoming, and full of amazing history. Thank you to the whole team for the great energy and for always making us feel comfortable. A big hug, and see you again in the future!

I had a great time at the hostel. Ivan, Alisa, Aida, Denis, and the other volunteers were amazing. The daily tasks were clear, and they always helped us. It's one of the best hostels in the Balkans, and I really recommend it for a nice experience. I already miss everyone there.

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel! It truely became my home away from home and the team became my family. I did not want to leave. The team - Ivan, Alisa, Denis, and Ida - were so welcoming and kind, it was a pleasure to work with them all. The location was so central and the vibe was amazing. I would highly recommend this hostel for anyone travelling to Sarajevo. Thank you the hostel for an incredible experience I will never forget!!

I loved my time at the hostel. The staff are great people. When you work with them, they will do the bulk of the tasks. The tasks left for you are very simple and not taxing, it truly is a volunteering in that aspect. Even though the work is very laid back and doesn't “feel” close to 30 hours, I do think 30 hours a week with no meals is a lot. We got amazing guests every day which I loved, something about Sarajevo and the hostel attracts the nicest people. The volunteer room is great. Overall I definitely recommend!

Volunteering at this hostel felt like a home, the hosts were beyond nice they truly made us feel like we belonged there! The tasks were so easy and even if we did have questions everyone was happy to help, there was no such thing as a silly question. The hosts also gave us great recommendations on what to do on our days off, where to eat good Bosnian food and they even taught us a few Bosnian words! Thank you Denis, Ivan & Alysa for your hospitality :))

I had a great experience at the hostel. Ivan, Denis and Alisa were welcoming as staff and I enjoyed my time with them. The tasks are standard for hostels, and I have to agree with other reviews, the location is excellent. My fellow volunteers were fun and respectful, and I made friendships I hope will last. This is something I will never forget :)

It is our pleasure that we have been able to work with Juan, who has been one of the most exceptional volunteers we've ever had the privilege to work with. From day one Juan consistently went above and beyond what was asked of him. He brought a level of reliability, initiative, and positivity that elevated the entire team. Not only was he efficient and organized, but he also brought warmth, kindness and a collaborative spirit to everything he did.
He will always be welcomed back to our family!

Denis, Aida, Alissa and the other volunteers were incredible. Sadly, I left early because Ivan, the owner, made things difficult. He is not allowed by law to have volunteers in Sarajevo, as he told us. He was unapproachable & unwilling to listen to suggestions. Shift schedules were always delayed and even after finishing our tasks early, we weren't allowed to leave and he created things to do. The first week I worked 7 days straight. Volunteers deserve respect and clear communication—two things that were clearly missing. Hosting volunteers requires more responsibility and basic human decency.
