The Experience
We need people for this summer who has worked in vegetable garden before . We live in a comunity made by some residents and a lot of volunteers. We respect some buddist traditions but we receive any kind of people no matter what religion follows.

The Center is a peaceful community where I was able to be more in touch with myself and my feelings. The work's very chill and you either usually do cleaning, cooking, working outside, or walking the goats. I had loads of free time, there is a town nearby and a river that is nice for a dip, and Sundays I was able to travel with the others to nearby cities which was very exciting. I made some treasurable connections with the people there that I am already missing and learnt about their stories. Most of the people speak mainly Italian, but there was lots of love shared nonetheless without words.

My trip to the Center was my first time ever going on a solo trip and it was definitely a memorable one, i spent a month and 1 week there and made great connections and memories and had some great food and also had time to travel to different cities and to try new things, i definitely recommend this place for anyone who is interested, also to note that the main work you would be judged on is the work with the residents in terms of making sure they're well and trying to make their time as comfortable as possible, which is not a problem just helps to communicate at start

This has been one of the most impressive experiences I have ever had. You come here with the idea to help other people and you don't realize they will also help you too. This is a volunteer to work with the community, to try and make an impact, to share activities with the residents and to help them get better every day. I enjoyed every piece of it. If you like to work with sensitive communities and you enjoy sharing, this is for you. Thank you the Center for becoming my second home. I'll try to come back soon ♥️

I really enjoyed my time in the Center, it was an eye opening experience where I got to find myself and learn new things about myself, about how to live with other people since it was my first time living in a community, so it was hard to adapt at first, but once you do, you feel so grateful to be there. I got to meet people that I will always appreciate, they welcomed me with open arms, any disagreement we had, we were always able to talk about it. I would love to come back and feel the same peace that I felt in that month.

This is the 2nd time the Center opens it's doors for me, and I'm really glad for that. This is a very particular volunteering where you'll find out that the main impact is not on the daily maintenance tasks, but in the interactions with the people you live with. This place has specific schedules for morning routine all about maintenance, and 1 day off. You're also expected to controbuite with your own personal skills (literally whatever you have to offer) to improve the community lifestyle. Great for connect with the Center, learn Italian, make new friends, and put yourself out of the comfort zone.
