Shannon and her hostel are great. I stayed for 2 months, the schedule is good and organized. Shannon is a great person, always very concerned about safety and well being, always buying staff treats, and her hard work makes the hostel comfortable, clean, and welcoming for guests. The cleaning is the main task for this position, where almost every shift you have to help with cleaning. Personally, I'm not a big fan of cleaning, but if you like it, great! Rooms for guests are very comfortable, for staff not that big. Location is great, i will miss Shannon, the staff members and the banana bread!!

I had the best time at the hostel! Shannon is really good to work for - very easy going, understanding and kind! She always makes sure the work is fair and makes it known we can go to her if there's any problems! The other volunteers I was working with were amazing & the guests were lovely and social and really nice to interact with! Charlottetown itself is a very good city with lots of foodie places and cute little shops, as well as different activities to do. I'm really going to miss it, I'll definitely be back to visit. Thank you Shannon! ❣️

It started great but, things was a mess later. Shannon, the owner, needs to take a time to take care of herself. The craziness of this woman's insane as well as the rules she demands. The level of perfeccionism she expects from the volunteers leaves you too uncomfotable. Shows to be good at first but, don't get fooled. Places needs to have rules and cleanliness but the level she determine for you to follow is as you were on a military. She kicked a volunteer from Poland out, mistreated another volunteer from England and locked the hostel's door on my last day at breakfast time. SO WEIRD!😖

I stayed 1,5 month at the the hostel and had a wonderful time. Shannon takes really good care of the volunteers and we got to live together in a small apartment close to the hostel, where we had some privacy besides the hostel operation:) The work was really varied so it never got boring, and we had a lot of free time to explore Charlottetown. The island and city is beautiful but it is kinda hard to explore the island because of the bus transit. Anyways me and my boyfriend had a wonderful summer in Charlottetown! Would always come back :)
