Description

As a non-profit care home, we request a small contribution fee to cover basic costs during your stay, including three meals per day, drinking water, electricity, and internet. This helps us keep our focus on the care and well-being of the girls and boys at Aashray Care Home and that hosting volunteers is sustainable for our organization. Optional: A private room is available for €10 per day.

The Experience

My experience at the organization in Jaipur was truly wonderful. My main goal was to share meaningful moments with the children, and I was able to accomplish that. They are incredibly sweet and full of light. Each one of them taught me something unique, and through them I learned deeply about the true meaning of life. Sushila and the entire team are exceptional people—kind, committed, and inspiring. During my time there, I supported the project by helping with children's activities, as well as photography, videography, and fundraising. Good food and hospitality.

This time at the organization is one I will hold with my forever. It is such a happy inspiring place with strong leadership and values. The staff are all so welcoming and the children are incredible. There is definitely lots of ways you can improve the site if you take initiative and are open minded. Overall it is a wonderful place to work and experience new culture and work with great people

I had never had an experience that filled my heart so much. It was a very emotional experience, in which I got to know the culture firsthand, thanks to the team, and a reality that I had never had near, with children in an orphanage. The most emotional experience I have ever had, I feel very grateful to have been able to live it, and to have been surrounded by such hospitable people. It left me a lot to think about. I had the most amazing experience at the organization. All the people working there made me feel the most welcomed, they treat me and the rest of the volunteers as family, making sure we were all the time taking the organization of. The work is really meaningful and you feel you are really making a social impact. The girls are so intelligent and respectful and you learn a lot from them. I absolutely recommend helping in the organization!
